A new AMR powered team joins the AMR list of entries within this weekends Michelin Pilot Challenge race at Laguna Seca

Again supporting the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship’s visit to the Weathertech Raceway laguna Seca this weekend will be the Michelin Pilot Challenge Series who will be racing out their third round of the season.

Amongst the forty-five strong GS and TCR based entry list for this weekend’s two-hour round will be five Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 crews included the debut round for the latest AMR convertee from the Medusa Motorsport team.

After they started the 2026 season with their then new Ford Mustang GT4, the Tennessee based team quickly formed new allegiances with the UK brand after the series second round from Sebring after the start line incident that also took out their GT4 entry along with four of five other cars including the #71 Rebel Rock Racing AMR Vantage.

Their two young guns Hunter Yeany and Athan Sterling have also recently been confirmed within this years intake of qualifiable racers within the Aston Martin Racing Drivers Academy. Having already been out testing with their new car, the team should be able to hit the track running this weekend.

Whilst they are an all-new crew, the will be joining three more full season AMR powered entries as the #26 Heart of Racing entry of both Hannah Grisham and Hannah Greenemeir return alongside the #14 Circle H Racing AMR entry of Thomas Merrill and David Hampton as well as the #66 Van Der Steur AMR car of Trenton Estep and Allen Patten.

Completing the five Aston Martins is the return of the #10 Van Der Steur car of husband-and-wife crew, Ben and Christine Sloss after they elected to sit out round two from Sebring a month ago.

At Sebring we lost the #71 Rebel Rock Racing AMR at the start line incident as well as the #14 Circle H Racing car from damage sustained within that incident and for the #66 and #26 entries, Sebring would only reward them with a disappointing P14 and P17 finish respectively.

Everyone will be hoping for more in California this time around.
