AAA just added another championship match to its upcoming Noche de Los Grandes event, giving the show an even bigger spotlight heading into May 30.
The announcement came at the start of the May 2 episode of Lucha Libre AAA on FOX during a backstage segment featuring Dorian Roldán, El Hijo del Vikingo, and Omos. During the segment, Roldán informed Vikingo that he would be stepping into a major title opportunity at the upcoming event.
Vikingo was told he will challenge El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. for the AAA Latin American Championship at Noche de Los Grandes, setting up a high-stakes clash between two major names in the company.
Wagner Jr. has held the AAA Latin American Championship since August 2025 and has successfully defended the title six times so far. His run with the belt has made him one of the more dominant champions in AAA heading into this next challenge.
