Aaron Wolf Wins Back NEVER Openweight Title At NJPW Dominion

Aaron Wolf is champion again. Wolf reclaimed the NEVER Openweight Championship at NJPW Dominion 6.14 on Sunday night, defeating Ren Narita at Osaka-jo Hall in Osaka, Japan. The win gave Wolf some payback after Narita took the title from him earlier this year.

Wolf finished the match in nine minutes after hitting Narita with a Uranage and following up with an Angle Slam for the pinfall.

It was not an easy road to the win. Wolf had to deal with the usual House of Torture chaos during the match, as Narita’s group tried to stack the deck with illegal attacks and distractions.

That advantage eventually fell apart when Konosuke Takeshita and Toru Yano came down to ringside and drove Narita’s entourage away, giving Wolf a clean enough path to finish the job.

Wolf has been tied up with House of Torture since making his pro wrestling debut earlier this year. The former Olympic judoka made a huge splash at Wrestle Kingdom 20 when he defeated EVIL to win the NEVER Openweight Championship in his very first wrestling match.

That reign did not last long. Narita beat Wolf at New Beginning in Osaka just one month later, shocking fans with a quick two-minute title win.

Dominion marked Wolf’s first shot at the belt since losing it, and this time he made it count. After getting caught by House of Torture once before, Wolf came into Osaka and took the NEVER Openweight Championship right back.
