Abdul Carter gets real on Jaxson Dart’s President Trump introduction

As New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart broke his silence on the controversial decision to introduce President Donald Trump at an event last week, Abdul Carter had been involved in the initial reactions to his teammate’s actions. The Giants linebacker in Carter would call out Dart for introducing the controversial political figure at the rally, and while it led to the two hashing things out, he has spoken to the media about the matter.

When speaking to the media on Friday, Carter was asked if Dart apologized in the conversation between the two, but the defensive star wasn’t looking for that.

“I don’t want to say he’s sorry. Like, stand on what you believe in, but it can’t be a problem when I stand on what I believe in, and that’s all that matters to me. Just long as we have that understanding, it’s all good,” Carter said, via SNY Giants.

Carter would have an opening statement of his own about the Giants star in Dart, introducing Trump and why he was outspoken about it on social media. As the two would be seen embracing before Friday’s session, Carter wanted to get across that there are “things bigger than football,” and when Dart aligned himself with Trump, he felt he had a “responsibility” to say something.

“Jaxson is one of our leaders. He’s the face of our franchise. He not only represents himself and what he does, but he represents all of us, and that goes for anybody who wears a Giants uniform,” Carter said.

“It doesn’t mean that me and Jaxson hate each other, or we have beef. I sit next to Jaxson every day, every team meeting, we close, we talk, as long as we make sure we got the same goal as a team, and our goals aligned, which they do, and I feel like that’s all that matters. So I just want to move past this,” Carter continued.

It seems that the two have settled their differences with the main focus on bringing New York success.
