Rising British star Adam Azim (14-0) is back in action this Saturday as he takes on Steve Claggett (39-8-2) live on BBC Two.
Azim is unbeaten, but Claggett should prove to be a good test for him as he looks to build activity for the remainder of the year.
‘The Assassin’ has impressed over the last few years, most recently featuring on the undercard of Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr’s rematch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
He made light work of Kurt Scoby after months of back-and-forth between the pair. The American stepped in on short notice and was stopped in the 12th round.
The 24-year-old takes on seasoned campaigner Claggett this weekend, who is known for his durability. He has not been stopped since 2011 when Romeo Jakosalem halted him in the Philippines.
His last defeat came against former two-weight world champion Teofimo Lopez, who he took the distance.
Speaking to Boxing King Media, Azim admitted that bettering Lopez’s performance is something at the forefront of his mind heading into the contest.

“The way I should do this is by doing better than Teofimo. If I can get the stoppage, brilliant; if I don’t get the stoppage it doesn’t matter, we will move on.
“I want to get the stoppage.”
‘The Assassin’ continued by revealing his goals of fighting for the IBF world title after his clash with Claggett on Saturday.
“Whatever performance I do, I should hopefully be fighting for a world title next.
“It is very close, whatever direction I go, I should get that world title.”
Prediction: Azim should have enough to show his level but will likely be held to a points victory.
Fran Hennessy vs Aurora De Persio
Fran Hennessy (9-0) is back in action in the co-main event as she looks to defend her WBC Silver title at bantamweight against Aurora De Persio (8-1).
Last time out she outpointed a tough Ellie Bouttell at the Copper Box and has impressed since turning professional in 2023.

Her Italian opponent has just one loss, which came against Giacoma Cordio. She enters the fight off the back of consecutive stoppage wins in 2025 and will look to upset Hennessy.
Prediction: In a real 50-50 fight, Hennessy may just edge it on the cards.
Juergen Uldedaj vs Muhsin Cason
At cruiserweight, Juergen Uldedaj (20-1) and Muhsin Cason (15-0) fight for the IBO world title. The Albanian won the belt back in October on the undercard of Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley.
He beat Rolly Lambert Fogoum over 12 rounds via unanimous decision.
Cason is unbeaten heading into Saturday’s clash and comes off an impressive run of seven consecutive stoppage wins.

The American should prove to be the toughest test of Uldedaj’s career following the Albanian’s stoppage loss to Benoit Huber in 2023.
Prediction: Uldedaj comes in as a slight favourite in a fight that will likely end before the final bell.
Remaining Undercard
Joel Kodua (11-1) defends his BBBofC English title at welterweight. He won the belt against Bobby Dalton on the undercard of Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV.
He takes on the unbeaten Will Harrison (9-0), who comes off a very close decision victory over Lewis Booth last time out in Doncaster.

ENGLISH WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Ergal Elezaj (5-0) faces the biggest fight of his career to date as he takes on experienced Dan Garber (9-4) in just his sixth professional contest. Elezaj should pick up the second stoppage win of his career.
Saqib Mehmood (2-0) looks to move to 3-0 against Simas Volosinas (10-163-3) at lightweight, while Abdul Khan (3-0) should have more than enough to dominate and stop Liam Fitzmaurice (1-7).
Derrick Osadolor (0-1) looks to right the wrongs of his debut at heavyweight after being beaten on points by Ben Vickers in his first professional contest.
Vijayaraj Karia (6-0) should dominate Juan Alberto Batista (5-7) at bantamweight to move to 7-0, while Oscar McCracken (2-0) will expect to showcase his skills on national television against Steven Wallace (0-6).
Mohammad Bilal Ali (5-0) also features on the card, with an opponent yet to be announced.
