The partnership between AEW and Jazwares appears to have come to an end after the toy company laid off its entire AEW team. According to wrestling figure collector Kyle Peterson, who broke the news in a YouTube video, the AEW Jazwares team was let go on Friday.
“Late Friday, I got word that, unfortunately, the entire AEW Jazwares team over there at Jazwares were laid off on Friday,” Peterson said.
Jazwares and AEW have worked together since 2020, beginning with the announcement of the Unrivaled collection in February of that year. The line grew to include multiple collections, including Vault, Supreme, and Unmatched, across five years of collaboration. Neither AEW nor Jazwares has officially commented on the situation or confirmed whether AEW will pursue a different toy partner going forward.
A number of figures that were in development never made it to full production and now appear unlikely to be released under the current arrangement. According to WrestlingFigureDatabase, the unreleased figures include Unrivaled Collection Series 13 Matt Hardy, Series 14 Chuck Taylor, Series 15 Jade Cargill, Series 15 PAC, and Series 4 CM Punk.
