AEW Dynamite Results (4/29/2026): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with commentary welcoming us and they run down the four title matches taking place tonight. We then get a video package highlighting what went down last week to set up Kevin Knight defending his TNT Championship against MJF and that match is kicking off Dynamite right now.

MJF then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Kevin Knight follows as he is greeted by “Speedball” Mike Bailey. MJF has Justin Roberts do the intro specifically to say that he isn’t from a white t***h state like Virginia.

AEW TNT Championship Match: JetSpeed’s “The Jet” Kevin Knight (c) vs. MJF

The match starts off with MJF kicking Knight to the stomach and sending him out of the ring. MJF then frustratingly sends Knight to the steel steps and he hits a powerbomb to the barricade. MJF then starts mocking Knight, grabbing a nearby camera to poke fun at Knight before bringing him back into the ring. Knight then starts to fight back before hitting the ropes, only to be sent flying by MJF. They then exchange offense until MJF hits a vertical suplex, going for the cover but only getting a two count. MJF then goes for a Heatseeker, but Knight breaks free before hitting him with a DDT.

MJF then finds himself scrambling to the ropes as Knight lays in some stomps and MJF gets back to his feet only to get caught with a powerslam by Knight. Knight then follows it up with a splash and a cover, but MJF kicks out. Knight then goes up, but MJF rolls out of harm’s way. Knight then doesn’t let this slide as he chases after MJF, sending him into the barricade before bringing him back into the ring. MJF then once again tries to get a breather on the outside, but Knight hits a dive through the ropes. Knight then brings MJF back into the ring and MJF once again tries to evade disaster, but to no avail as Knight hits a springboard forearm.

This pattern continues until MJF tries to go for another Heatseeker, but Knight breaks free again leading to both men trading near falls. Knight then hits the ropes, but is caught with a cutter by MJF and a cradle only gets him a two count. MJF then heads to the corner where Knight intercepts him and Knight sends MJF to the mat and he favors his knee afterward. Knight then goes up top and leaps off for a UFO splash, which MJF evades at the last second. MJF then goes after the leg of Knight, but he is shoved into the corner only to hit Knight with a thrust kick and a Panama Sunrise that gets him a near fall.

Back in the ring, MJF has a single leg crab cinched in tight on Knight as he pulls Knight away from the ropes. Knight then manages to kick MJF away to break the hold, but MJF climbs up the turnbuckle and he jumps into a thrust kick by Knight instead. Knight then goes up top, this time hitting the UFO splash but the damage keeps him from making a cover right away and that’s enough for MJF to kick out at two. Knight is favoring his knee as MJF rolls to the apron, where he drops Knight to the ropes with a dragon screw leg whip. He then continues to lay into the injured leg before hoisting Knight up for an Alabama slam.

MJF then goes for a cover and gets a two and he goes back on it two more times with the same result. MJF is frustrated by all this, leaving the ring to retrieve the TNT Championship from the timekeeper table. He then brings the belt into the ring, only for the referee to take it away from him. While the referee is distracted with this, MJF pulls out his Dynamite Diamond Ring only to take a low blow and an inside cradle by Knight for the win.

The winner and still the AEW TNT Champion, JetSpeed’s “The Jet” Kevin Knight!

After the match, an angry MJF hits a chop block to Knight. Darby Allin is then lowered from the rafters and sneaks up behind MJF, hitting a Scorpion Death Drop on him. MJF then retreats up the ring and tells the fans that they suck, then addresses Allin and says that he was barely trying in his TNT Championship with Knight. MJF then says he only cares about the AEW World Championship and demands his rematch. Allin then declines to do so until MJF puts something on the line, then says he knows who deserves a shot next week if he retains the AEW World Championship. Allin then looks over at Knight and says he wants to face him next week, but Brody King’s music hits and he makes his way out. He then says Allin won’t survive tonight against him and tells Knight that he’ll be facing him for the AEW World Championship instead next Wednesday.

King then makes his exit as we take a look at the other matches set for tonight.

We then head to the back, where Renee Paquette asks Christian Cage how his fractured arm is. Christian then tells her not to worry. FTR made an offer for an “I Quit” Match and Christian accepts it right away. Adam Copeland then tells him that it’s interesting that he accepted it so quickly considering his history with “I Quit” Matches. Christian then says that he never claimed to have quit, but if Cope and Christian lose, then they can never team up again.

Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and their opponents are already in the ring.

Tag Team Match: The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) vs. Emily Jaye and Jordan Blade

The match starts off with Windsor and Blade and Windsor lays into Blade with some hard offense before tagging in Hayter to continue the attack. Jaye then tries to get involved, but she gets sent out of the ring before the Birds hit Two Birds One Stone for the win.

The winners of the Tag Team Match, The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor)!

After the match, The Brawling Birds celebrate as commentary talks about Swerve Strickland representing AEW at the NFL Draft.

AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla then cuts a promo says she calls everybody dumb bi**es because that’s what they are. Julia Hart then responds to getting misted in the face and Thekla tells The Brawling Birds to stick to the tag team division because when it comes to singles competition, she is everything and they are nothing.

Kazuchika Okada then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Ace Austin follows.

AEW International Championship Match: Don Callis Family’s “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Bang Bang Gang’s Ace Austin

The match starts off with Austin trying to get the upper hand on Okada, but Okada quickly turns it in his favor before taking Austin to the mat for a near fall. Okada then continues the attack, but Austin manages to turn it back around and he lifts Okada up before sending him to the corner. Okada then takes a leaping enziguiri by Austin, but evades a dive only to watch Austin do a handstand to avoid being swept off the apron. Okada then applauds this before Austin continues to build momentum, only for Okada to send Austin down hard to the floor with a DDT. Okada then applauds his own efforts to keep Austin at bay.

Okada then takes Austin down in the ring with a backbreaker before going up top for an elbow drop. He then plays to the crowd with a middle finger before bringing Austin to his feet. Austin then fights back, sending Okada through the ropes to the outside. Austin once again dodges Okada’s attacks with a handstand, hitting a kick to the face of Okada. Austin then hits a fosbury flop and he sends Okada to the floor before bringing him back into the ring. Okada then starts to fight back, but takes a big kick dropping him to the canvas. Okada then heads to the corner but is intercepted by Austin, who follows with a springboard leg drop for a near fall.

Okada then heads to the opposite corner, booting Austin in the face before getting a two count of his own but Austin evades a dropkick. Austin then charges at Okada, managing to send him to the mat with a sunset flip for two. He then heads to the corner for another springboard leg drop, but is caught with a dropkick instead. Okada then goes for a Rainmaker, but it gets countered with a backslide that garners a two count. Okada then hits another dropkick and he follows it up with a tombstone piledriver and a Rainmaker for the win.

The winner and still the AEW International Champion, Don Callis Family’s “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada!

After the match, Juice Robinson and Austin look to attack Okada and Don Callis. Mark Davis then makes his way out for reinforcement and Konosuke Takeshita appears on the entrance ramp to stare down Okada ahead of their match at Double Or Nothing.

We then get a video package hyping up the return of the “Most Wanted” Bandido, except we see the man who wants him most right now as Swerve Strickland is handed a lighter to burn the wanted poster with the luchador’s face.

We then have a message from the Death Riders. Will Ospreay enters the room and tells Jon Moxley that he isn’t cleared, but that won’t stop him from going to Japan for a big title match. Jon Moxley then tells Ospreay that he is too good to be true because of his loyalty. Moxley then tells Ospreay that he needs to drop everything inside his head, heart and stomach. Moxley then says he doesn’t make promises and he doesn’t make commitments, but he sees things through all the way until the end. Moxley then says he only asks for the same in return. Will Ospreay appears to be a part of the Death Riders now and Ospreay asks where the ring is. Moxley then says they train on the ground.

FTR and Stokely Hathaway then make their way out and join commentary for the next match of the night. Christian Cage and Adam Copeland then make their way down to the ring next and RPG Vice follows.

Tag Team Match: Cage & Cope (Christian Cage and “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland) vs. Don Callis Family’s RPG Vice (Trent Beretta and Rocky “Azucar” Romero)

The match starts off with Christian Cage and Rocky Romero and Cage takes Romero to the corner. Romero then fights back, taking Cage to the mat before posing and this only riles Cage up as he goes on the attack. Cage then tags Copeland in. Copeland then lays into Romero some more until Trent Beretta makes the tag, sending Copeland to the corner for a chop before sending him across the ring where Copeland takes him down hard before tagging in Cage. Cage then brings Beretta to the outside, slamming him against the barricade before bringing him around the ringside area only to be blindsided by Romero.

This then gives RPG Vice an advantage as Stokely has a laugh, until Orange Cassidy appears with a popcorn bucket and he dodges a right hand by Stokely before dumping the popcorn all over him. This then leads to a brawl with FTR, which heads up through the crowd as Beretta drops Cage to the floor with a knee strike. Back in the ring, Beretta goes to work on the injured arm of Cage before knocking off Copeland from the apron, allowing him to go for a cover. Copeland then slides in to break the pin. Romero then tags in and he chops Cage into the corner.

He then sets Cage up on the turnbuckle for a flying cross arm breaker until Cage gets to the ropes for a break. A tag is then made to Beretta as Cage starts to fight back, but Romero tags himself back in to stop the momentum only to be sent back by Cage. Both men are now down as Copeland reaches for a tag. Copeland and Beretta are the legal men now, with Copeland sending Beretta to the corner. Beretta then fights back with an elbow, but ends up charging into an Impaler instead. Copeland then goes for a cover, but Romero breaks it up just in time.

Cage then stops RPG Vice from a double team, allowing Copeland to get a near fall before Cage comes into the ring himself. A fracas then ends with Cage and Romero dropping to the outside as Copeland goes for a spear on Beretta, who rolls Copeland up for a pin but the referee catches his feet on the ropes. Beretta then starts to argue with the referee about this until he gets dropped with a spear by Copeland for the win.

The winners of the Tag Team Match, Cage & Cope (Christian Cage and “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland)!

After the match, Cage grabs a mic and a chair from ringside, breaking a piece of the chair off to hand to Copeland. Copeland then uses it for a crossface as Cage tells Beretta to say what he knows he needs to say. Beretta then struggles with the metal object in his mouth, but eventually shouts “I Quit” to which Cage says he’d never say that. Copeland’s music then hits as Cage and Copeland pose with the tag belts.

We then take a look at what happened earlier tonight when Chris Jericho started to address Ricochet when he is blindsided by The Demand. Ricochet then tells Jericho he should have left, but is told to “eat s–t” by Jericho which only leads to GOA beating him down some more before Ricochet teases a moonsault on him, telling Jericho he is not even worth it. Ricochet then laughs.

Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Megan Bayne and Lena Kross follow.

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Match: Divine Dominion (“The Megasus” Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) (c) vs. Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander

The match starts off with Hikaru Shida going after both Megan Bayne and Lena Kross, but Kross sends Shida to the corner for some shoulder charges. A beal toss then sends Shida to the mat hard and Kross fends Shida off with a shoulder tackle before tagging in Bayne. A double shoulder tackle is then hit on Shida before Bayne goes for a fall away slam. Shida then keeps the brunt of the damage away before sending Bayne to the corner for a knee strike. Bayne then stops a jumping knee from the ropes, sending Shida down hard to the canvas and forcing her to leave the ring for a breather.

There seems to be some sort of breakdown between Shida and Statlander as Statlander offers a kendo stick before Bayne charges in and somewhere in all this, Shida suplexes Statlander onto Bayne to cause some damage. Statlander doesn’t seem pleased by the strategy but goes after Bayne, who makes a tag to Kross for a double team on Statlander. Bayne is then sent out of the ring as Statlander continues going after Kross, but she turns things around with some intervention from Bayne. Statlander then fends off both Bayne and Kross with a series of strikes before reaching for a tag to Shida.

Bayne then pulls her away and sends Statlander to the ropes, only to be laid out with a clothesline. Shida then gets the tag as does Kross and the two trade strikes in the middle of the ring. Shida is then sent to the corner, where she hits a dropkick on Kross. Kross then fights back now, sending Shida to the ropes but Shida drops Kross on the ropes, hitting a knee strike on her and sending Divine Dominion off the apron to the floor. Shida then brings Kross back to the ring, but takes a crescent kick before Statlander tags herself in.

Kross then keeps her at bay before tagging in Bayne, who hits a release German suplex before making the cover for a two count. Kross then tags herself in as Bayne hits the ropes, but Statlander fights back with a Blue Thunder Bomb on Bayne and a roundhouse kick on Kross. Statlander then hits a 450 splash from the top turnbuckle. A cover is then made by Statlander on Kross, who kicks out just in time. A tag is then made to Shida, who drops Kross with a kick and a Falcon Arrow for the cover but Kross kicks out. Shida then goes for a Katana but is dropped by Bayne, who gets hit by Statlander before Divine Dominion take her out. Divine Dominion then hit a double chokeslam for the win.

The winners and still the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, Divine Dominion (“The Megasus” Megan Bayne and Lena Kross)!

After the match, Divine Dominion celebrate their win.

We then head to the back, where an interview with Andrade El Idolo and Don Callis is interrupted by an angry MJF. He then runs down Andrade for leading to the champ losing his title and El Idolo’s response to this is how do you know. This only riles the former champion up as he shoves Andrade, but Don cuts in to tell them both to focus on business right now.

RUSH then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and his opponent is already in the ring.

Singles Match: LFI’s “El Toro Blanco” RUSH vs. Steven Fuerte

The match starts off with RUSH shoving Fuerte to the outside. He then slams Fuerte against the barricade before bringing him back into the ring, charging at him in the corner for some stomps. Crowd then chants his name as RUSH goes for The Horns, pulling Fuerte to the center of the ring for the win.

The winner of the Singles Match, LFI’s “El Toro Blanco” RUSH!

After the match, RUSH takes a microphone and he shouts in Spanish before saying his catchphrase when you mess with The Bull, you get The Horns.

We then head to the back, where Renee Paquette talks to The Opps as Samoa Joe addresses being back with his boys, including the newest recruit in Anthony Bowens. He then addresses Will Ospreay in what seems like another faction wanting the former International Champion in their ranks.

We then head to the back, where FTR and Stokely reveal they have an ally to deal with Orange Cassidy after what he did tonight as Tommaso Ciampa will team with them in what is being billed a Double Jeopardy match, with the winner earning either a tag or trios title shot depending on who wins.

Brody King then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night and Darby Allin follows.

AEW World Championship Match: Darby Allin (c) vs. Brody King

The match starts off with a show of sportsmanship and Allin charges King in the corner. Allin then ends up taking King to the mat with a Code Red from the turnbuckle, but only gets a two count for his efforts. King then leaves the ring as Allin goes for a dive, only to be dropped to the floor by King. King then brings Allin to the guardrail, setting him up on a chair before charging at him but Allin catches King with a drop toe hold and sending King face first into the chair. Allin then pulls the chair away, setting it up to place King upon for some more strikes before going up top for a missile dropkick. King then falls from the chair to the floor.

King then hits Allin with a uranage onto the floor before clearing off the announce desk. He then pulls the lid of it off, propping it against the barricade as we see Kevin Knight watching from the crowd. Allin is back on his feet, going for a sleeper hold on King until King sends both of them crashing through the table cover. The crowd is electric for this as we see MJF watching backstage and the referee checks on both men until King gets to his feet. King then brings Allin back up as well, but Allin fights back with some strikes. This then spills over to the announce desk, where King ends up catching Allin with a sleeper hold.

Allin then manages to break free just enough to fight back with a Code Red, driving King onto the table which does not give. Allin then manages to slowly make his way back to the ring, with King getting back on his feet only to be sent back into the desk with a dive by Allin. Allin then gets back in the ring once more, climbing up the turnbuckle but King intercepts, dropping him into a tree of woe for a cannonball. King then brings Allin to his feet for a massive lariat and the cover, but King only gets a two count. Allin then tries to fight back but is soon laid out with another lariat, but this only gets a near fall as Allin manages to save his title with a shoulder up.

Allin then manages to dodge King in the corner, hitting some chops before King launches him over the top rope to the outside where he collides with a camera op on his way to the floor. This then gives King an opening as he goes after Allin on the outside. King then pulls the mat off the floor as Allin crawls to the guardrail and as he charges at Allin we see Allin narrowly get out of the way, forcing King to go crashing through instead. Allin then gets back in the ring as King slowly follows and they fight it out on the apron until King looks for a suplex to the outside.

Allin then sends him to the exposed concrete instead with a sunset powerbomb. He then climbs the turnbuckle for a Coffin Drop, crashing onto King as the referee begins the count. Allin then slides back into the ring as the count reaches eight and nine before King slides in, only to be blindsided with a Coffin Drop. Allin then rushes back up top for one more Coffin Drop for the win.

The winner and still the AEW World Champion, Darby Allin!

After the match, King shakes Allin’s hand and exits the ring. Allin then stands tall on the turnbuckles holding up his AEW World Championship belt and staring down Kevin Knight in the crowd as the show comes to a close.
