AEW Dynamite Results (6/17/2026): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with commentary welcoming us.

We then see AEW World Champion MJF in the backstage area with the Don Callis Family and we hear from MJF first, who has us look at his World Title before addressing his enemies/challengers. MJF says he respects Kevin Knight’s fire, brushes past Andrade El Idolo’s recent challenges and mocks Swerve Strickland, Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega before honing in on Mark Briscoe. MJF then says the rest of the names he listed are top acts, but everyone just feels bad for Mark because his brother died.

MJF then says none of his prayers to become champion will come to pass after Forbidden Door. MJF then tells Callis to announce the members of DCMJF: Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada and Andrade and Andrade El Idolo is not happy about this, saying MJF thinks he will join him. Callis then works to defuse the situation as everyone walks off aside from a slightly dejected Beretta before we head to ringside, where commentary runs down the lineup for the show.

The Premier Athletes then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Kenny Omega follows.

Singles Match: “The Best Bout Machine” Kenny Omega vs. The Premier Athletes’ Tony Nese

The match starts off with Omega getting distracted early on by Mark Sterling, allowing Tony Nese to take control, but not for long as Omega turns it around with a snap dragon suplex followed by a V-Trigger. Sterling then tries to distract him again, but get knocked to the floor before Omega hits a One-Winged Angel on Nese for the win.

The winner of the Singles Match, “The Best Bout Machine” Kenny Omega!

After the match, Omega gets a microphone but can’t get a word in before TMDK make their way out. Zach Sabre Jr. is flanked by Mikey Nichols and Bad Dude Tito as they head to the ring, with Omega leaving the ring rather than get into a confrontation with his opponent for Forbidden Door. The Young Bucks and Jack Perry then come out to even the numbers as Sabre Jr. grabs a microphone only to toss it toward Omega.

Omega then grabs a mic and speaks, saying he doesn’t know what TMDK stands for and neither do they. Omega then addresses the match at Forbidden Door, saying he knows it would be nice for Sabre Jr. to get a notch in the win column against one of the best and stating Sabre Jr. got his friends with him and he has his as well. Omega then says let’s keep it one on one at Forbidden Door and for now he’ll bid you adieu. Omega then says goodnight mwah and goodbye bang.

Omega’s music then hits as we take a look back at Collision: Summer Blockbuster, where The Dogs took out the Young Bucks for the win. We will hear from them later tonight.

We also still have the Women’s Owen Hart Tournament Semifinal coming up, along with a face-to-face between Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland ahead of their Men’s Owen Hart Tournament final at Forbidden Door. The main event tonight is a 12-Man Tag between MJF’s and Mark Briscoe’s squads ahead of the steel cage match at Forbidden Door. With that, Dynamite rolls on.

The Death Riders then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Brodido follow.

Tag Team Match: The Death Riders (AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley and Daniel Garcia) vs. Brodido (Brody King and ROH World Champion Bandido)

The match starts off with Bandido and Daniel Garcia and they get into and exchange of offense that Bandido ends up winning, taking Garcia to the mat before Garcia turns it around to Bandido down as well. This then ends in a standoff before Garcia mocks Bandido’s pose and he cuts Bandido off from doing the same before sending him down with a shoulder tackle. Bandido then fights back with a dropkick on Garcia, bringing him to the corner for a tag to Brody King. They then double team with an assisted suplex sending Bandido crashing onto Garcia, but he pops back up to stop the pair from doing a dance. Garcia then shows off his own moves, but he takes some chops from Brodido.

Moxley then reaches out for a tag and gets it, standing across from King as he mouths off at him. They then go nose-to-nose before trading forearm strikes, leading to an exchange of chops. Both men are now trading hard strikes back and forth until Moxley is rattled by a chop from King. Moxley then responds with a poke to the eye to gain the advantage and he follows it up with a bite on the head before hitting the ropes, but King cuts him off, forcing him to the outside. Bandido then goes for the assist and he hits a dive onto both opponents, sending them to the floor. King then hits some hard shots on Moxley in the corner before taking Garcia away with one last one.

Moxley then drops to the mat from the impact, using the ropes to get back to his feet only for King to send him back to the ropes. Both men then trade strikes again until King blocks a lariat and goes for a powerbomb. Moxley then breaks free to take him down with a cutter, but King is back on his feet already before Moxley lays him down with a lariat. Tags are then made to Bandido and Garcia and Garcia is launched into the corner with a belly to belly suplex by Bandido as we see Moxley chatting with Marina Shafir at ringside. Garcia then leaves the ring to get a breather as King goes for a dive, but is cut off when Shafir stands in the way. She then lets out a bark at King, who responds in kind. This then goes back and forth, proving to be a distraction as Moxley comes at King with a dive through the ropes.

He then lays into King some more before hitting a piledriver onto the floor, leading to Bandido looking for revenge only to be sent into the barricade by Garcia. Moxley then brings King back into the ring before making the tag to Garcia, who drops King hard to the mat for a two count. He then hits a few more shots on King to keep him down before tagging in Moxley, who brings King back to his feet before hitting some shots to bring him to the corner. He then digs his nails into the back of King before setting him up on the turnbuckle for a superplex off the top, continuing to keep the pressure on King.

Bandido then gets knocked off the apron by Moxley, leading to a tag to Garcia to keep things going. The Death Riders then go back and forth on this until King lays them out with a double lariat followed by a tag to Bandido. Torneo by Bandido then takes Moxley and a press slam sends Garcia on top of Moxley. Garcia then leaves the ring as Moxley goes after Bandido, but he gets sent into the ropes where he cuts off Bandido from a 21 Plex attempt. Moxley goes for a delayed vertical suplex on Bandido, who counters it with one of his own before Shafir slides into the ring with the referee distracted. She then goes for a suplex on Bandido, but Bandido hoists her up for a delayed vertical suplex before dropping her to the mat.

Garcia then comes back in on a tag, but gets taken out by Bandido only for Moxley to break the pin. King then takes Moxley out of the ring as Bandido goes for an inside cradle, but Garcia counters for one of his own for a two count. Bandido then sets him up for a 21 Plex as King dives through the ropes to keep Moxley away and this gets Brodido the win.

The winners of the Tag Team Match, Brodido (Brody King and ROH World Champion Bandido)!

After the match, Brodido celebrate their win.

We then head to the back, where we hear from Protokada (Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada). Fletcher talks about bringing back the International Championship to the Don Callis Family, but first they have some business to attend to regarding Forbidden Door. He then says they know one person who will not join Mark Briscoe and that is Tomohiro Ishii as we see Ishii laid out on the floor. The pair then joke about Briscoe not being able to find friends for his big tag match before walking away.

We then see Tommaso Ciampa backstage and he says he doesn’t need to list off 1004 reasons why he hates Chris Jericho. Ciampa then says he needs just one. Ciampa then talks about the Jericho he looked up to as he got into the business, contrasting it with the Jericho he shared the ring with last week with the jokes and everything else. Ciampa then says if he’s gonna bring that Jericho here, stay out of his world but if Jericho thinks he’s still got it, if he thinks Ciampa is worthy, go ahead. Ciampa then says the ball’s in your court and don’t drop it. Ciampa then shoves his chair away before walking off.

The Dogs’ music then hits before we head to the back, where Christian Cage and Adam Copeland blindside the men who attacked them a few weeks ago. They then bring The Dogs to the ring, setting Connors up for a spear before Finlay brings him out of harm’s way. They then escape through the crowd. Cage then grabs a microphone, talking about their win at Double Or Nothing. Cage then says fans are probably expecting him to have something to say about certain family members, but he just can’t believe there’s a tag team named after their own mothers. Cage then says something relating to Finlay’s father.

Copeland then takes the mic to say he understands why The Dogs attacked them and were doing the five-second poses. Copeland then says they are the champs from 30 years ago. Copeland then promises he and Cage will use their old man strength and grumpiness and send The Dogs back out the Forbidden Door as housebroken little pups.

With the challenge laid out for the upcoming PPV, commentary runs down other matches set for Forbidden Door before we get some words from Starlight Kid of STARDOM ahead of her match against Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

We then head to the back, where Thekla responds by addressing her similar journey in STARDOM ending with her being kicked out of the company. Thekla then says Tony Khan’s favorite non-AEW wrestler may be Starlight Kid, but the champ doesn’t care about being anyone’s favorite as all she needs is the title. Thekla then promises to take off Kid’s mask and spit all over it because on this side of the Forbidden Door, she runs this place.

We then head to the back, where Brodido talk about their win moments ago before Bandido starts to lay out the challenge for Jon Moxley’s Continental Championship. They are then interrupted by the Death Riders, with Moxley ultimately accepting the challenge as he acknowledges Bandido shooting his shot. With that, Dynamite rolls on.

Mercedes Moné then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night as she shows off the Owen Hart Tournament belt she is basically defending in this year’s tournament. Hazuki then makes her way down to the ring.

Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Semifinal Match: “The CEO” Mercedes Monè vs. STARDOM’s Hazuki

The match starts off with both women locking up before Moné takes Hazuki to the mat. She then brings Hazuki back up and to the ropes, only for Hazuki to fight back form the corner. Moné then hits an arm drag for a near fall before Hazuki counters for a two count of her own. She then sends Moné into the ropes, stomping away before Moné escapes the ring to evade a running kick. She then walks up the ramp to look at the Owen Hart Cup, looking to get it back this year before heading back to the ring where she gets taken down with a headscissors by Hazuki. This then forces Moné to leave the ring, taking solace in the presence of the trophy once more.

Moné then hits her opponent with a lungblower, but only gets a two count before Hazuki manages to get out of the ring. Moné then follows her to the outside, laying into Hazuki before bringing her back into the ring for a near fall. She then pulls Hazuki up for a snapmare, doing that two more times for good measure before driving her boot into the face against the ropes. Moné then hits a running Meteora, but she only gets a two count. Moné then kicks away at Hazuki before sending her to the ropes, only for Hazuki to drop Moné to the floor for a dive twice over sending Moné into the barricade each time. She then does one more dive, sending Moné down hard to the floor. Hazuki then brings Moné back into the ring, going up top for a missile dropkick. Cover by Hazuki gets a two count and she transitions to a crossface.

Moné then tries to counter, but Hazuki rolls through before Moné manages to get a foot on the ropes to force the break. Moné then starts fighting back, setting up for two vertical suplexes but there will be no third Amigo as Hazuki blocks the final suplex only to be dropped to the mat. She then rolls to the ramp outside, where Moné hits a Meteora sending Hazuki down hard. Both women are now in the ring and Hazuki fires back with some shots on Moné in the corner. She then backs off just enough to charge at Moné, hitting a lungblower that sends Moné to the mat. She then goes up top for a senton, landing flush on it as she goes for the cover but only gets a two and once again goes for a submission, only for Moné to counter for a near fall to break the hold.

She now has control of the wrist as she and Hazuki trade strikes on the mat. Hazuki then wins out as she gets back to her feet, keeping Moné down with a pump kick but she falls to the mat as well. The referee then starts a standing count as both women struggle to get back up, using the ropes for leverage. Hazuki then intercepts a charging Moné with a DDT followed by a hook kick, but the cover only gets her a two. Brainbuster then connects, but Moné rolls out of the ring to escape whatever might come next. Hazuki then follows close behind to bring Moné back to the ring, but Moné goes for another lungblower only for Hazuki to counter for a near fall! They then trade near falls before Moné gets back to her feet, snapping Hazuki down into a Statement Maker before Hazuki manages to roll through, getting a cradle for a two count.

Moné then brings her back up looking for a Moné Maker, but Hazuki counters out of that for another near fall. Kasadora then gets countered by Moné, who rolls through to trap Hazuki in the Statement Maker and there is nowhere for Hazuki to go as she taps out.

The winner of the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Semifinal Match, “The CEO” Mercedes Monè!

After the match, Mercedes Moné celebrates her win.

We then get a video package hyping up the other Semifinal match set for Collision as Maya World takes on Athena to see who faces Moné at Forbidden Door.

We then head back to ringside as Tony Schiavone talks about the men’s Final set for a week from Sunday before introducing Will Ospreay to the ring first. Schiavone then congratulates Ospreay in getting married and acknowledges him coming straight to Dynamite tonight. Ospreay then says he should have been on honeymoon right now but his wife said to stay focused and they can go to Hawaii anytime he would like. Ospreay then talks about what he did to make it up to his wife before heading to Houston tonight.

Schiavone, coming down from the shock of what Ospreay said, then introduces his opponent for Forbidden Door next. Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana and make their way out and Nana tells Schiavone his suit is way too tight before telling him to get out of the ring. Strickland then takes the mic, saying there’s something different about Ospreay as he notes that he hasn’t gotten a text back from him in months. Ospreay then addresses possible changes, including his hair being more under control now.

Ospreay then says he also sees a difference in Strickland and it’s the way he’s looking at him right now. Strickland then changes the subject to Jon Moxley and the Death Riders, to which Ospreay offers to talk about it. He says he had to let things go in spite of what Moxley did to him, remembering everyone who tried to come to his aid his neck was nearly snapped everyone but Swerve Strickland. He then looks back at All In: Texas when the two of them worked together to take down the Young Bucks before asking why Strickland didn’t come to help when he needed it most. He then knocks the mic out of Strickland’s hand and says he doesn’t actually want an answer from him. He then talks about how much the World Title means to him, especially with the shot possibly coming at Wembley Stadium.

Ospreay then says he remembers all his friends at school having the dream of scoring the winning goal at Wembley Stadium and while everyone else is talking about the Owen Hart Cup final, for him this is the semifinal of his World Cup. Strickland then cuts him off by taking his mic and saying that the dream won’t happen if he gets there first, running him down for all the chat about it being Hangman Page’s time last year. He then says where is Hangman now.

Strickland then continues running Ospreay down, making some remarks that get muted out on the feed for a moment. Strickland then points out that Will Ospreay has not been able to beat him, especially with the tidal wave of his popularity in 2024. Strickland then says when he beats Ospreay and goes on to win the world title a second time, he’ll look to just beat him over and over again. This then riles Ospreay up to the point where he knocks this mic away, sending Strickland to the mat. Strickland then heads to the corner, where Nana hands him a steel chain before the Death Riders come out to the ring. This then leads Strickland to take the mic back, saying Ospreay is wrong, he really has changed. He then leaves the ring with Nana as Ospreay’s music hits.

Chris Jericho then responds to Tommaso Ciampa’s request to see a more serious side of him. Jericho then tells Ciampa to meet him in the ring at AEW Collision this Saturday so they can get serious face-to-face. Jericho then walks off.

We then see Jon Moxley and he tells Will Ospreay that what people say to him are just words and they can only affect Ospreay as much as he allows it to.

We then head back to ringside as MJF and the Don Callis Family make their way down to the ring for the main event of the night. We then find out that per Tony Khan that if either team gets disqualified in this match they will lose a man advantage at Forbidden Door.

We then head to the back, where we hear from Mark Briscoe and his Conglomeration pals Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong as Briscoe reveals his team. He then confirms that after the Protokada attack earlier tonight, Tomohiro Ishii will be back and they will avenge him. Briscoe then reveals that in addition to his buddies they’ve got two other guys who have heat with the Family: Konosuke Takeshita and Darby Allin. With that, we head to ringside as that team makes its entrance for the main event.

12-Man Tag Team Match: Team MJF (AEW World Champion MJF and Don Callis Family’s AEW TNT Champion “The Jet” Kevin Knight, “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada and Andrade El Idolo) vs. Team Mark Briscoe (The Conglomeration’s Mark Briscoe and AEW World Trios Champion Roderick Strong, “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly, AEW International Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita and Darby Allin)

The match starts off with MJF and Mark Briscoe and MJF tags in Andrade right away. He then takes Briscoe down hard before leaving the ring, looking to pose with a fan for a selfie but Briscoe hits him with a dropkick before bringing Andrade back into the ring. Mounted punches in the corner by Briscoe, who tags in Cassidy to hit one last shot only to be taken tot he mat by Andrade. Cassidy then retaliates by pulling the pants of Andrade down, but he cuts him off before finishing the job himself.

A tag is then made to Kyle Fletcher and Kyle O’Reilly tags in as well as we get a match of the Kyles. “Let’s Go Kyle” chant breaks out as the two lock up, trading offense as O’Reilly goes for a double wristlock before Fletcher escapes. O’Reilly then gets a takedown, spinning around on the back before Fletcher gets back to his feet. O’Reilly then hits a kick to take Fletcher down before everyone goes at it in the ring. Chaos then ensues with these 12 men, the majority of whom take the fight out of the ring as we see Allin hits a Coffin Drop followed by a Takeshita dive.

Things then settle down with Allin and MJF standing off in the ring, only for Knight to blindside Allin. Fletcher then goes on the attack for a bit before Knight argues with him about who wants to beat up Allin. This then continues as we see a tag made. Fletcher then lays into Cassidy before setting him up for an attack from Doyle. MJF then tags in to get the scraps, looking do the same thing but Doyle ends up attacking the arm of MJF instead. MJF then has it out with Doyle as Roderick Strong gets the tag, hitting several backbreakers. Doyle then gets a tag in the midst of all this and he takes a chop from Strong but is also stepping on Strong’s foot to keep him from going anywhere.

Strong then fires back with a chop to break free, hitting a suplex to take Doyle to the mat. Doyle is back up and he hits a shoulder breaker on Strong, only for O’Reilly to charge in for an assist. He then hits some hard shots on Doyle as Andrade rushes in, taking him out. Meanwhile, Allin comes in to go after Andrade but is taken down by Knight before Takeshita comes in. Fletcher then tries to set him up for Okada, but Protokada get laid out before Takeshita hits Fletcher with a Blue Thunder Bomb. MJF then gets the tag, but so too does Mark Briscoe. Before anything can happen, Knight goes after Briscoe only to take a right hand.

He then sends back the rest of the Don Callis Family before setting up for a Jay Driller on MJF, but MJF blocks it long enough for Knight to get involved before Allin comes running in for the save. He then goes after Knight as they leave the ring, taking the fight to the stage before Doyle traps Allin and sends him crashing into the ring post nearby. Back in the ring, Briscoe breaks free from a Heatseeker before hitting MJF with a Jay Driller. He then goes for a cover, but Don Callis comes running down the ramp to distract the referee, forcing Briscoe to break his pin to deal with Callis who runs away. He then pulls MJF to the middle of the ring for a Froggy Bow, but gets knocked down by Fletcher as Strong makes a tag. He then goes for an End of Heartache on MJF, but MJF counters it into a Salt of the Earth forcing Strong to tap out.

The winners of the 12-Man Tag Team Match, Team MJF (AEW World Champion MJF and Don Callis Family’s AEW TNT Champion “The Jet” Kevin Knight, “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada and Andrade El Idolo)!

After the match, The Don Callis Family and MJF continue to beat down The Conglomeration, Takeshita and Allin. Andrade then notably doesn’t participate in the beatdown and tries to stop MJF from going after Briscoe in the corner. He then gets in MJF’s face, but MJF shoves him. Don Callis then intervenes and Andrade decides to hold Briscoe in place for MJF to hit a strike on him using his Dynamite Diamond Ring and The Don Callis Family and MJF stand tall as the show comes to a close.
