Preview & Predictions for AEW Dynamite:
On tap for tonight’s episode, Darby Allin will be facing Konosuke Takeshita with the world title on the line. He was originally scheduled to be challenged by Kazuchika Okada, who apparently had to be pulled from this due to some family issues. Considering this is also a show where MJF might decide on putting his hair on the line to get a shot at the AEW World Championship, it was always a foregone conclusion Allin would retain against Okada, so the same should apply to Takeshita.
The brackets for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament will be revealed for both the men’s and women’s division. It’ll be interesting to see who is chosen to compete this year. Might this be where Will Ospreay wins? He’s certainly going to beat Ace Austin, who he’s scheduled to face on this episode.
There will also be a 10-man tag team match with FTR, Tommaso Ciampa, and The Dogs teaming up to face The Young Bucks, The Conglomeration’s Orange Cassidy, and Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. Nothing is on the line here, so it could go to either team to help further along the other stories being told, but I’d lean more toward the babyfaces winning with one of The Dogs taking the pin, possibly. After all, The Conglomeration have a future tag team title opportunity to build toward, so the stronger it looks like they can win, the more hype there is for that match.
Here are your results for AEW Dynamite – May 13, 2026:
- 10-Man Tag Team Match: Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, Orange Cassidy & The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) defeated FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), Tommaso Ciampa & The Dogs (Clark Connors and David Finlay)
- The Death Riders were helping train Will Ospreay some more, with Jon Moxley talking about how the weight on Ospreay’s shoulders will stop him from flying, suggesting Will shouldn’t think about protecting his neck.
- Ricochet and The Demand spoke about how Andrade El Idolo and The Dogs have joined their team for Stadium Stampede.
- “Speedball” Mike Bailey defeated BK Westbrook by pinfall.
- AEW TNT Championship Open Challenge: “The Jet” Kevin Knight (c) defeated Brian Cage by pinfall. After the match, Speedball congratulated Knight on a victory, while Knight said Speedball is on a hot streak and welcomed Cage back to action. Knight started to get in his feelings about not getting the job done last week, while Bailey told him The Jet is a future world champion. They’ll always support each other. Speedball then said that he wants the next shot at whoever wins between Darby Allin and Konosuke Takeshita.
- Will Ospreay defeated Ace Austin by submission. The Opps came out after the match, ready to go after Ospreay, who was backed up by Death Riders, so The Opps backed down.
- MJF interrupted Konosuke Takeshita’s interview with Renee Paquette to try to position himself as a challenger for Takeshita once he beats Darby Allin and then Kazuchika Okada. To ensure Takeshita wins, MJF gave Don Callis his Dynamite Diamond Ring. Andrade then came over to him and flaunted his long hair without saying a word, so MJF left. Andrade then told Callis that the next time, it needs to be his turn for a title shot.
- Kyle O’Reilly suggested Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong go for the FTR tag team title shot as he wants to face Jon Moxley for the AEW Continental Championship instead. Also, Mark Briscoe is back and wants to face Tommaso Ciampa next week.
- Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter) defeated The Triangle of Madness by disqualification after Thekla used the title belt and Julia Hart spit mist in referee Paul Turner’s face. Willow Nightingale, Mina Shirakawa, and Thunder Rosa ran out to help send The Triangle of Madness into a retreat.
- AEW World Championship: Darby Allin (c) retained over Konosuke Takeshita by pinfall. After the match, Allin called out MJF to sign the contract and put his hair on the line for a title shot. MJF came out and talked trash about how Allin will have no legacy other than having 15 minutes of fame because he just got lucky and is too reckless and stupid to stay on top. MJF, meanwhile, will go down as the greatest of all time. Allin said he lives in the moment and doesn’t care about legacy and at Double or Nothing, he’ll make MJF a bald-headed bitch. MJF then signed the contract and the match is official. MJF then attacked Allin until Kevin Knight made the save.
