AGC 2026 is pleased to host the Nitro ASL Finals, the culmination of the largest competitive esports programme within the school’s environment. Proudly supported year-round by Acer for Education, Nitro ASL provides learners across South Africa with opportunities to participate in structured competitive gaming to develop their esports skills. Throughout the year, hundreds of schools and thousands of learners compete through the Nitro ASL ecosystem, with the top teams earning a place on the AGC stage.

In addition to its Open Championships and school finals, AGC 2026 will provide competitors with access to international esports opportunities through the Call of Duty: Mobile Southern African Qualifier, hosted in partnership with Carry1st. Players will compete for the opportunity to qualify for the Carry1st Africa Cup, creating a direct pathway from local competition to continental competition through the Carry1st Africa Cup, and ultimately onto the global stage through the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship ecosystem.

“AGC has become much more than a championship event,” said Nick Holden, CEO at ACGL. “It brings together multiple competitive ecosystems under one roof – from grassroots and school esports through to national championships and international qualification opportunities. AGC provides a platform where players at every level can compete, develop and showcase their talent.”

AGC 2026 is supported by a growing group of partners committed to advancing competitive gaming across Africa. Acer for Education continues to champion the growth of esports within schools through its support of the Nitro ASL, while Carry1st is creating pathways from local competition to continental and international esports opportunities through the Call of Duty: Mobile Southern African Qualifier. Clear Access will provide the connectivity and infrastructure required to deliver a seamless, world-class competitive gaming experience throughout the event.

The Nitro ASL Finals will also receive coverage from SuperSport Schools TV, bringing South Africa’s top school esports talent to audiences across the country and further elevating the profile of competitive gaming within the education sector.
