Several reports are linking Japanese MotoGP star Ai Ogura with a move to Yamaha’s factory team after impressing during his rookie season at Trackhouse Racing.
The MotoGP paddock has been full of rumours this year as the 2027 regulation changes, as well as a number of massive rider swaps and changes, are set to take place soon.
While the move might be considered a downgrade of sorts given Yamaha’s form in recent years, there are many benefits to being a factory rider, especially a Japanese one in a Japanese team.
