Alycia Baumgardner defends her unified IBF, WBO and WBA super featherweight world championships against Bo Mi Re Shin in New York on Friday.
Baumgardner (17-1, 7 KOs) faces Re Shin (19-3-3, 10 KOs) at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden.
Baumgardner was undisputed champion until her last fight, where she opted to relinquish her WBC strap in order to fight over 12, three-minute rounds.
‘The Bomb’ overcame Leila Beaudoin with a dominant unanimous decision victory on the undercard of her promoter, Jake Paul’s defeat to Anthony Joshua in December.
The visitor challenges for world honours for the second time in her career, having previously fallen short against Baumgardner’s fierce rival Caroline Dubois in a bid for the WBC lightweight crown last March.
