Andrade Makes Feelings Clear on Possible WWE Return

Andrade is making it clear he isn’t missing WWE right now and that he’s not really interested in going back to the company.

During a Q&A session on his Instagram Story, a fan asked Andrade whether he misses WWE and if he would go back for a match. Andrade gave a direct answer, but he still admitted there are two WWE names he would like to face again: “No!!! But I would definitely like to wrestle Rey Mysterio and Carmelo again.”

That response comes after Andrade previously opened up during a Highspots Network interview in January 2026 about why AEW feels like a better fit for him. Andrade said WWE left him feeling limited, while AEW gives him more freedom to work different places.

“You know, I love this business, and now with AEW kind of working with many different companies—like, you know, in WWE—I was just stuck. With AEW, you have more freedom.”

Andrade’s WWE exit had plenty of attention around it as well. He was released in September 2025, with a possible one-year non-compete originally expected. However, his WWE contract officially ended by December 12, and he was back on AEW television by January 7, 2026.

That quick turnaround surprised people because WWE deals usually come with stricter restrictions. Andrade is now free to work anywhere, which fits exactly with what he said he wanted after leaving WWE.

So while Andrade may still respect certain opponents from his WWE run, he is not acting like someone desperate to go back. His answer was short, sharp, and clear: no WWE return is on his mind, but matches with Rey Mysterio and Carmelo Hayes still interest him.

What do you think about Andrade saying he does not miss WWE but still wants to wrestle Rey Mysterio and Carmelo Hayes again? Please share your thoughts and feedback below.
