Arizona Diamondbacks vs Cincinnati Reds – June 14, 2026

Cincinnati pulled off a come from behind win on Saturday over Arizona. That evened up the series and now the Reds and Diamondbacks get together for the series finale with the winner taking a victory in the 3-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 1:40pm ET.

Starting Lineups

Starting Pitchers

Andrew Abbott

It’s been an up-and-down season for Abbott. A great start on Opening Day was followed by a rough April, but a good May. In June’s two starts he’s been solid, turning in two quality starts with three runs in 6.0 innings in both. He’s gone six innings in each of his last three starts and in six of his last eight start.

The splits this season have been a bit strange for Abbott. On the year lefties are hitting better against him than righties. But that hasn’t been the case since May began. Lefties have hit just .184/.226/.265 against him in his last seven starts after hitting .438/.455/.625 against him in his first seven starts. Right-handed hitters are not hitting for much average and haven’t hit for much power, but they are making tons of contact and walking as often as they strike out.

Zac Gallen

The season for Gallen has been a mirrored version of the one for Abbott. Through April Gallen had an ERA of 3.14 for Arizona. Then the calendar flipped to May and he’s struggled mightily ever since. Over his eight starts since April ended his ERA is 7.02 and he’s given up 55 hits and nine home runs in 41.0 innings pitched.

The splits aren’t that big for Gallen when it comes to lefties and righties. Both groups have found plenty of success across the board against him. Not shown below is that he’s been much worse on the road than at home in 2026. His road OPS against is .979 (.694 at home) and his road ERA is 7.44 (3.65 at home).

The weather doesn’t look great

There’s a chance that the game starts on time, but there are thunderstorms expected to roll in around 3pm ET and last for a few hours.
