Top UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan might be in trouble with the promotion after placing a massive bet on UFC White House.
UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria will defend his undisputed title against interim titleholder Justin Gaethje on the White House lawn on Sunday. UFC Freedom 250 features a seven-fight card with plenty of intriguing fights, capped off by the Topuria vs. Gaethje main event.
As Topuria and Gaethje make their final preparations for UFC Freedom 250, top lightweight Arman Tsarukyan is waiting in the wings for a likely shot against the winner. Tsarukyan, who hasn’t fought since finishing Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar last year, is widely expected to get the next title shot after the White House event.
In addition to his accomplishments inside the Octagon, Tsarukyan comes from a wealthy background outside of it. Tsarukyan comes from a wealthy family in Armenia, which several fighters have used to label him a ‘spoiled brat’.
UFC fighters aren’t allowed to place bets on any of the promotion’s fights, after recent controversies surrounding alleged fight fixing and irregular line swings. But that hasn’t stopped Tsarukyan from putting a massive wager on the UFC Freedom 250 headliner featuring two of his potential next opponents.

“Can’t wait [LAUGHS],” Tsarukyan posted.
As of this writing, the UFC brass, and more specifically CEO Dana White, haven’t responded to Tsarukyan’s massive wager. Many fans scolded Tsarukyan in his social media post’s replies section.
“STOP YOU CAN’T DO THAT,” one fan wrote.
“Fighters can’t bet on fights,” another said.
“So f****** illegal smh.”
“Hey bro it’s illegal to bet on UFC fights as a fighter.”
As of this writing, Tsarukyan hasn’t responded to any of the backlash, and his post remains live on his X account. However, it might not be long until the UFC brass gives him a call.
