Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will likely be turning his attention to the upcoming transfer window following his side’s defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on Saturday.
The Gunners were beaten on penalties by PSG in Budapest, with centre-back Gabriel missing the decisive spot-kick to hand the French giants the trophy.
Despite the defeat, the north London outfit did lift the Premier League title this season, for the the first time in more than 20 years.
Arteta and those in charge of the Gunners’ recruitment will likely want to bolster the Spaniard’s squad this summer, and it has now emerged that Arsenal are interested in a talented Brazilian winger.
According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal are one of the Premier League clubs monitoring Porto attacker William Gomes.
The report suggests that both Arsenal and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old, who has impressed for Porto this season.

Gomes joined Porto from Sao Paolo midway through the 2024/25 campaign and has since featured 57 times for the Portuguese side across all competitions, scoring 14 goals.
The youngster is said to have attracted interest from several clubs, with fellow Premier League sides Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Chelsea also monitoring his situation.
Italian outfit Roma and Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are also believed to be interested in the Brazilian, who has represented his country at Under-17 level.
The winger’s contract with the Portuguese champions is set to run until the end of the 2028/29 campaign, but it appears that Porto could face a battle to keep hold of the player beyond this summer.
The player’s contract includes a release clause that is set just below £70 million, the report says, while Porto are understandably very reluctant to allow the forward to depart.
