According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Roma aim to finalise a deal with sporting director Tony D’Amico by the beginning of next week and are also preparing to welcome Atalanta’s first team doctor, Riccardo Del Vescovo.
Roma are set to reorganise their internal structure by adding two key members, both from Gasperini’s former club, Atalanta.
D’Amico set for Roma move after Atalanta exit
Sporting director D’Amico has officially left the Gewiss Stadium after four years and is ready to reunite with Gasperini in Rome.
Corriere dello Sport confirms that talks between the ex-Atalanta director and Roma are at an advanced stage and that Gasperini is constantly in touch with the 46-year-old.

According to the report, Roma and D’Amico will sit down again by the weekend, with both parties hoping to put pen to paper on a contract by the start of next week.
D’Amico’s appointment will lead to Frederic Massara’s exit. The current Roma sporting director is now working on contract extensions, but will follow Claudio Ranieri out of the club after the Senior Advisor was sacked in April.

Corriere dello Sport reports that Atalanta’s Head of Medical Services, Riccardo Del Vescovo, will follow D’Amico in Rome to work with Gasperini again.
Gasperini was unhappy with some decisions made in the market in 2025-26 and also complained about the lengthy recoveries of some players, and Roma are now ready to reshape the club following the coach’s advice.
