They become more or less become invincible when they play this part of the world and it is safe to say they have built a fortress across venues of Australia. 1877- This was the year in which the first ever Test match in international cricket history took place and Australia hosted it by playing against England at the Iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

445 – The number of Test matches happened in Australia in 148-year run of Test cricket. These are the 2nd most Tests took place in a country after England’s 551.

1 – There has been only 2 Tied Test in history and one of which happened when Australia played West Indies at the Brisbane Cricket Ground (Gabba) in Australia in 1960 . This was also the first-ever Tied Test match.

Australia’s second Greatest win margins (by innings) came at home when they defeated England by innings and 332 runs at the Gabba in 1947/48 Ashes.

675 – This is Australia’s biggest defeat in terms of runs at home. Australia lost to England at MCG by this huge margin at the Brisbane Exhibition Ground in the 1928/29 series.

10 – Australia’s margin of loss against England at SCG in 1894/95 after enforcing a follow-on to the visiting team. This was the first of only four such instances happened in Test cricket that a team following-on winning the game.

5 – Number of Test playing nations who have won Test series in Australia. They are England (14), West Indies (4), South Africa (3), India (2), and New Zealand once.
