Backstage News On TNA Wrestling Being Upset With Tessa Blanchard’s Appearance In CMLL

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Tessa Blanchard, a star with TNA Wrestling, is caught in the middle of an inter-promotional conflict. TNA is not pleased that one of their prominent talents regularly appears in CMLL, as they want to restrict their TV talents from working with CMLL as well.

The report revealed that Blanchard recently wrestled Persephone, who has a dual contract with both AEW and CMLL, during WWE WrestleMania Week in Las Vegas at the CMLL At Palms Slam Fest. Fans may recall that around this time, TNA began enforcing a policy preventing its talents from competing against AEW wrestlers at independent wrestling shows. Consequently, there is increased pressure on Blanchard regarding this issue.

Blanchard has been appearing regularly in CMLL over the past six months and made her return to TNA Wrestling in December 2024. However, it’s worth noting that CMLL is also a promotional partner with AEW, which is a rival to TNA. Blanchard last competed for TNA on the May 28th edition of iMPACT, where she secured a victory over Harley Hudson in singles action.
