Backstage News On Top AEW Stars Reportedly Pushing For The New Day To Join The Company

As previously reported, WWE veterans The New Day, consisting of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, have mutually agreed to part ways with the company. They declined TKO’s offer to restructure their contracts, which involved taking a pay cut. As a result, they will have a 90-day period before becoming unrestricted free agents, allowing them to sign with other promotions.

According to Fightful Select, several prominent figures in AEW are already advocating for The New Day to join the company. PWInsider.com has noted that there is considerable excitement within AEW about the prospect of The New Day making their debut in the promotion.

Furthermore, multiple sources connected to AEW have pointed out that the Young Bucks and The New Day have teased the idea of wrestling each other for years. With The New Day set to become free agents in 90 days, fans are hopeful that this long-awaited dream match could finally take place. While there is no official confirmation that The New Day will join AEW, PWInsider reports that many within the promotion are eager to see this matchup happen.

AEW star MJF has already responded to The New Day’s exit from WWE, and fellow AEW wrestler, and former WWE Superstar Ricochet, also shared his thoughts on social media regarding the situation.
