Bayern Munich have shown concrete interest in signing Atalanta forward Charles De Ketelaere, according to Sacha Tavolieri.
The Belgian forward has already given the ‘green light’ to join Germany’s record champions with personal terms not expected to be an issue while talks between the two clubs are expected in the coming weeks.
De Ketelaere (25) – who featured in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 against Bayern – has scored five goals and provided seven assists in 39 games across all competitions this season and holds a contract with Atalanta until 2028.
Just how viable Bayern’s pursuit of De Ketelaere, though, remains to be seen. The trio of Luis Díaz, Michael Olise and Harry Kane has proved one of the most fierce trios in football. Because of their decision against activating their purchase option for Nicolas Jackson does suggest that they will sign an attacker this summer, be it on a permanent basis, or on another loan with an option to buy.
