Becky Lynch is not taking her WWE Clash in Italy loss quietly, as she made it clear she was robbed of her Women’s Intercontinental Title.
Lynch took to Twitter to react after losing the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Sol Ruca in Turin, Italy. Instead of accepting the defeat, The Man claimed she was robbed and blamed the referee for costing her the title.
“Last night I was once again ROBBED of my title by CROOKED CARR!!! CLEARLY I had SO SAD SOL pinned for MORE than the count of three when Carr INEXPLICABLY DOVE out of the ring!!!! A TOTAL MESS!!!”
Lynch then claimed she suffered a hematoma during the match and stated that her legal team was looking into Ruca’s footwear. She stated that doctors were surprised she continued, but insisted that nothing can keep her down.
“I soldiered on but suffered a severe hematoma (my lawyers are looking into ROTTEN RUCAs footwear. They suspect they’re not regulatory!) Doctors say they’re SHOCKED I was able to continue but I told them YOU CANT HOLD DOWN THE MAN!!!!”
This came after Ruca defeated Lynch in the fourth match at WWE Clash in Italy. Lynch went for the Manhandle Slam near the corner, but Ruca countered and hit the Sol Snatcher to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
The loss also gave Lynch a rough place in the title’s history. She already held the record for the longest WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship reign at 163 days, but this latest run ended after just 43 days, making it the shortest reign in the championship’s history.
Ruca’s win gave her her first WWE main roster singles title only weeks after moving up to RAW. For Lynch, however, the loss has clearly turned into another grievance as she blames “Crooked Carr” and “Rotten Ruca” for taking the title from her. Becky Lynch may be out of the title picture for the moment, but her reaction makes it clear she is not ready to let Sol Ruca enjoy the win without hearing from The Man first.
