Big E. Reacts To The New Day’s WWE Departure

Big E. has shared his reaction to the WWE departures of his New Day partners, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.

Fans first noticed on Saturday that WWE had quietly moved Kingston and Woods to the alumni section of its official website. Not long after, reports confirmed that the longtime tag team had parted ways with the company.

The news quickly sparked a wave of reactions across social media, with fans and wrestlers from both WWE and AEW weighing in on the unexpected exits.

Big E. has now responded in his own way. Taking to Instagram Stories, the former WWE Champion posted an emotional piece of artwork depicting Kingston and Woods walking away. In the image, Woods leaves behind his King of the Ring crown, while Kingston parts with his signature gear.

With their departures, The New Day has officially come to a close. The group debuted in the summer of 2014 and rose to become one of WWE’s most beloved acts. They remained a dominant force for years, but the trajectory changed following Big E’s neck injury in March 2022.

Tensions within the group later played out on-screen, as Kingston and Woods turned on Big E. during the faction’s 10-year anniversary segment in December 2024, accusing him of abandoning them. However, the storyline never reached a full conclusion due to Big E. being unable to return to the ring. He ultimately announced his retirement earlier this year.
