When I first saw these golf grips I was a bit amazed at how they looked, then I began to read what inspired them and how they performed and I had to try them.
The company is Bighead Golf and their golf grips are definitely unlike anything you have seen before. Bighead Golf grips look like the end of a baseball bat with the knob like a baseball bat has. The Bighead Golf grips are built for Drivers, Fairway Woods, and Hybrids and can give you the same confidence you had when playing baseball. The knob helps to keep your hands in the correct position and gives you a more relaxed swing. The grip itself is very large size, so it does take some getting used to.
Here is what Bighead says about their grips…
This isn’t just a grip — it’s the one your swing’s been waiting for. The Bighead Golf Grip is the first of its kind, modeled after the feel of a baseball bat handle with a built-in knob for unmatched control and comfort. Built for ballplayers. Designed for golfers. Whether you’re fresh off the field or swinging for fun, this grip bridges the gap between two games you love. Make the switch. Feel the difference. Dominate the course.
I put the Bighead Golf grips on my Driver and I must admit it felt unusual at first. I wasn’t used to a knob at the end of my grip, so I took it to the driving range several times to get a good feel before taking it onto the golf course. With the Bighead Golf grip I must admit I felt like I could swing faster and with more control, and I did like the feel of the grip in my hand. However, for someone like me with smaller hands it was not the best fit as I either have standard or undersize grips on my clubs. For those who prefer larger size grips and for ball players current and former I can see where they would love these grips. The grips would translate the feel of a bat easily for a baseball or softball player onto a golf club. Also, for golfers who prefer a larger grip size I say give the Bighead Golf grips a try.
