First memory of tennis: Playing with my sister Jenny on my grandmother’s driveway in Bend, Oregon.
First famous player you met or encountered Playing Jimmy Connors in WTT season was fun.
Greatest career moment: First main draw appearance at US Open was special (reached 2R in 1997). And coaching at the London Olympic Games 2012.
Most painful career moment: losing NCAA Team Final in ’93.
Favorite tournaments: Nothing greater than the NCAA Tennis Team Tournament when hosted in Athens, GA.
Fiercest competitors encountered: Always respected Jim Courier and Michael Chang’s competitive nature – practice and matches.
Favorite players to watch: I love all competitive matches regardless of level.
Favorite tennis books: Am I supposed to say yours [smiles]? But definitely Champion Minded by Allistair McCaw.
Why do you love tennis: Tennis keeps evolving and therefore so do you – it constantly tests your ability to be uncomfortable, and you make lifelong friends from every corner of the globe.
