A Massachusetts hiker who went missing over the weekend in New Hampshire was found dead Tuesday evening after a day-long search.
Kent Wood, a 61-year-old West Roxbury resident, had traveled to the Lafayette Campground in Franconia Notch on April 17 for a camping and hiking trip, according to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. Wood began hiking Saturday morning in warm, clear conditions and was last heard from Saturday afternoon.
