Elliotte Friedman: “The number one thing I took away from all this is that Ottawa is not even going to consider trading him unless they’re forced to. We know how sensitive the Senators are to the rumors, but you can tell Staios, Michael Andlauer, they have enormous pride in their team and their franchise and their city market, whatever you want to call it. They don’t like this, and they react very negatively to it whenever it pops up, which I think is all fine.
You should have pride in your organization and the market in which you work. Just watching it and listening to it, it’s very clear, Kyle, the Ottawa Senators are not doing this unless it is forced upon them. It’s not going to be their choice. Never. It’s going to have to be forced upon them for them to move on.”
Dallas Stars will pay Jason Robertson to stay long-term
