WWE Superstar appeared on Jonathan Coachman’s Off The Ropes podcast and made it clear he believes he can still walk into a major wrestling company and look better than just about anyone there.
Strowman said a recent AAA match between Chad Gable and Ludwig Kaiser flipped a switch for him. He said the match reminded him why he loves pro wrestling and made him realize that he still has that fire.
“You want to honestly know what happened recently. That Triple A match between Gable and Ludwig, that match made me feel. It made me remember why I love professional wrestling. And it made me go, I can go.”
Then Strowman went full Braun Strowman. He said there is no doubt in his mind that he can still perform, and he was ready to take his shirt off right then just to prove the point.
“There’s no doubt in my mind I can go. I take my shirt off right now and I’ll show you I look better than anybody on that damn roster, any three letter brand roster.”
That is not exactly a subtle message. Strowman was basically saying he still looks the part and believes he can stack up against anyone in WWE, AEW, TNA, or any other major wrestling company with a three-letter name.
Strowman also admitted that he has been focused on nerve injuries and other physical issues, but the bigger truth is that he misses wrestling. He said he misses being in the ring and being in the locker room, even if he does not miss everything else that comes with the business.
“I’ve been focusing on these nerve injuries, all this other stuff. The reality of it is I miss being in the ring. I miss being in the locker room. I don’t miss the rest of the that comes along with it.”
Strowman has always been one of wrestling’s most physically imposing stars, and his latest comments show he still sees himself that way. He is not talking like someone who thinks he is finished.
For now, Braun Strowman is making one thing clear: he believes he can still go, and he thinks he looks better than a lot of people currently getting TV time.
