Burgas, Bulgaria — BRAVE Combat Federation is gearing up for another major European showcase as the promotion officially announces its return to Bulgaria on Saturday, August 1.
The fast-rising global MMA organization will host the event at the Burgas Arena, once again partnering with the Bulgarian Fight Agency to deliver what promises to be an electrifying night of fights.
Mohammed Shahid Highlights Bulgaria’s Growing Importance
BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid emphasized the significance of the promotion’s continued presence in the region:
“Bulgaria has become a key destination for BRAVE CF in Europe, and we are thrilled to return for another spectacular event. The passion of the fans, the professionalism of our partners at the Bulgarian Fight Agency, and the incredible talent emerging from this region continue to inspire us. We are committed to providing a global platform for Bulgarian athletes while uncovering the next generation of mixed martial arts stars.”
Strengthening a Key European Partnership
This marks the third consecutive year that BRAVE CF has collaborated with the Bulgarian Fight Agency, further solidifying a partnership that has played a pivotal role in developing MMA across Eastern Europe.
Each visit has contributed to the rapid growth of the sport in Bulgaria, elevating both the level of competition and international visibility for local fighters.
Building Momentum: From BRAVE CF 86 to 97
BRAVE CF first made its mark in Bulgaria with BRAVE CF 86 in August 2024. The historic debut featured a high-stakes light heavyweight clash between Mohamed Said Maalem and Bulgarian standout Atanas Djambazov.
Said Maalem delivered a statement performance, earning a third-round TKO victory in front of a passionate hometown crowd. The event also spotlighted local talents like Rusi Minev and Pavel Vladev, helping ignite a vibrant atmosphere inside Burgas Arena.
The momentum carried into BRAVE CF 97 in July 2025, where Said Maalem returned to headline against Kaloyan Kolev in another compelling main event.
The continued success of these events has firmly established Bulgaria as a key stop on BRAVE CF’s European circuit.
August 1 Event Promises Elite Action
With anticipation building, the August 1 card is expected to feature a mix of rising prospects and established contenders from across Europe and beyond.
BRAVE CF’s commitment to showcasing global talent while elevating local fighters remains central to its mission, and this upcoming event is set to further strengthen Bulgaria’s position on the international MMA stage.
Fight announcements for the card are expected in the coming weeks, adding to the excitement surrounding one of the summer’s most anticipated combat sports events.
