India has won the T20 World Cup on 29th June in Barbados. After that, they were stuck over there due to Hurricane Beryl and BCCI also arranged a charter flight for the players. Finally, the day has arrived when team India is coming back home with the silver ultimate World Cup trophy. In this edition of the T20 World Cup, India has achieved a lot of milestones which make this golden victory even more worthy. Skipper Rohit has shared a photo of him coming back to India with the trophy.

Team India and Indian media faced a challenging three-day delay due to Hurricane Beryl. Fortunately, BCCI secretary Jay Shah quickly arranged a charter flight for all players and journalists to ensure their safe return home. They boarded the flight with the trophy, marking the end of their unexpected stay.

On Instagram, Captain Rohit Sharma shared a photo from the flight, showing him and Suryakumar Yadav holding the trophy with the caption “Coming home.” This simple message captured their relief and excitement as they headed back after the unforeseen interruption.

This journey highlighted their resilience and unity as a team, both on and off the field. Despite the difficulties, they persevered and now look forward to reuniting with their families and fans. The trophy symbolized not just their victory in the tournament but also their triumph over the challenges they faced together.

Team India Will Meet Prime Minister:

The group originally planned to depart from Bridgetown at 6 pm local time, aiming to reach Delhi by 7:45 pm IST on Wednesday, with their final destination of New Delhi scheduled for early Thursday at 5 am. However, due to unforeseen delays, these travel arrangements have been adjusted accordingly. Ahead of their return journey, the BCCI shared a video of the trophy, teasing, “It’s coming home.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is preparing to honor the players with a special felicitation ceremony. The exact details, including the date and time of the event, are still being finalized and will be announced soon. The team is expected to meet with him tomorrow at 11 am.
