Brock Lesnar mentioned by Olympic champion for possible RAF match: “That would just be strictly for the fans”

Could Brock Lesnar be lured into RAF clash with a former Olympic gold medalist?

Lesnar’s combat sports career may be over, but freestyle wrestling has emerged to a wider audience thanks to RAF. The promotion has been able to secure notable names such as Arman Tsarukyan, Merab Dvalishvili, Colby Covington, Urijah Faber, and even Khamzat Chimaev.

Lesnar has been enjoying his run as a top WWE star, which is rumored to be ending this summer. In an interview with MMAFighting.com, Kyle Synder threw out the possibility of a RAF showdown with “The Beast.”

“I didn’t even think about this either but somebody brought it up—Brock Lesnar,” Snyder said. “I mean Brock’s pretty old so I don’t know about that either. There’s a couple of good wrestlers in the UFC that I’d wrestle if they wanted to.”

Synder is unsure if he’d ever get such a match, but he believes Lesnar would do big things for RAF no matter who he competes against.

“That would just be a match strictly for the fans, something interesting for them,” Snyder said. “Obviously, Brock’s a big, big star so I’d be interested in that just for the way that it would promote the sport.

“But I think Brock doesn’t have to wrestle me for that to help wrestling and RAF. He could wrestle anybody and it would bring a lot of people to the sport. I hope he does.”

Lesnar recently had a rematch with Oba Femi at WWE “Clash in Italy.” While Lesnar took the pin in a one-sided thrashing against Femi at “WrestleMania,” he got his revenge on “The Ruler” on Sunday.

Do you expect Brock Lesnar to ever join RAF for at least one freestyle wrestling match? Would you be interested if he does? Let us know in the comments below.
