Brock Lesnar’s return on WWE Raw may have already triggered a major backstage change inside WWE.
Following his surprise appearance during the May 18 episode of Raw in Greensboro, North Carolina, “The Beast Incarnate” has officially been moved back to WWE’s active roster page after previously being listed in the company’s Alumni section.
Lesnar made his return during Raw by attacking NXT Champion Oba Femi and leaving the powerhouse laid out in the ring, instantly reigniting speculation about WWE’s plans for the former UFC Heavyweight Champion.
The roster move appeared on WWE’s official website less than 24 hours after Raw went off the air, signaling that Lesnar is once again being treated as an active member of the WWE talent roster.
Later in the show, Paul Heyman was shown approaching Raw General Manager Adam Pearce with paperwork connected to a potential blockbuster rematch. According to the storyline setup on Raw, Heyman presented Pearce with a contract for Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi II. The rumored destination for the match is WWE Clash In Italy later this month, although WWE has not officially confirmed the bout at this point.
Lesnar’s return immediately became one of the biggest talking points coming out of Raw, especially considering the uncertainty surrounding his WWE status over the past year. The attack on Oba Femi also creates one of the more unique generational powerhouse clashes WWE could currently produce.
Oba Femi has continued building momentum as one of WWE’s fastest-rising stars, while Lesnar remains one of the company’s biggest attractions whenever he appears.
With WWE now shifting Lesnar back onto the active roster page and teasing another collision with Oba Femi, it certainly looks like “The Beast Incarnate” is gearing up for another major run.
Do you want to see Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi happen at Clash In Italy, or should WWE hold off on the rematch for a bigger stage? Leave your thoughts and feedback in the comments.
