The current Lux World Cup was first released in 2022, and at the time already fell towards the conservative side of the geometry spectrum when compared to the likes of Specialized’s Epic platform. However, in the four years that have since passed, the XC landscape has changed dramatically. This essentially pushed many Canyon customers towards the Lux Trail, which offered slightly more progressive geometry and 120/115 mm of travel.

The new Lux marks a wholesale overhaul from the old model while retaining its race purpose. It pairs significantly more progressive geometry and increased travel with an interesting adjustable anti-squat system designed to fine-tune pedalling efficiency for different courses and gearing setups.
Although Canyon is officially launching the bike just before the first round of the Whoop UCI XC World Series, the new Lux World Cup has already claimed a pile of wins this year at the Cape Epic: three from Luca Schwarzbauer and Sam Gaze, and eight from Jenny Rissveds in the mixed category with Simon Andreassen.
