Cardiff v Ospreys LIVE: Score updates as star sent off

Cardiff take on the Ospreys in a mouthwatering Welsh derby at the Arms Park tonight.

Corniel van Zyl’s side are chasing a place in the United Rugby Championship play-offs and sit in seventh place in the table but desperately need a victory tonight, with two fixtures remaining away at Glasgow Warriors and at home against the Stormers.

The Ospreys are not mathematically out of the play-off places but are 11 points off eighth spot and cannot afford to come up short at the Arms Park.

Cardiff are missing Wales internationals Josh Adams, Mason Grady and James Botham due to injury which has forced van Zyl to make five changes to the starting XV who won at Parc y Scarlets last Saturday.

Wales U20s wing Tom Bowen replaces Grady, while Taine Basham and Dan Thomas start in the back-row with Alex Mann dropping down to the bench.

Rory Thornton comes into the second-row in place of George Nott, while Javan Sebastian replaces Keiron Assiratti at tighthead prop.

The Ospreys look the stronger of the two sides on paper.

Jack Walsh, Dan Kasende and Luke Morgan make up the back-three, with Keiran Williams and Owen Watkin in midfield.

Reuben Morgan-Williams and Dan Edwards are the half-backs. Up front Gareth Thomas, Sam Parry and Tom Botha form a strong front-row with Rhys Davies and Ryan Smith at lock.

James Ratti, Jac Morgan and Morgan Morris are in the back-row.

The game is live on S4C and Premier Sport with kick-off at 7pm.
