Chelsea Green Reveals Health Status Following Heart Procedure

Chelsea Green is giving another update following her recent heart procedure — and while she says recovery is going well overall, she admitted she’s still dealing with some lingering physical effects.

After previously revealing she underwent surgery to treat SVT (supraventricular tachycardia) following a frightening WrestleMania-week episode that pushed her resting heart rate to 228 beats per minute for nearly 15 minutes, Green has now opened up about how she’s feeling during recovery. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Green explained that she’s currently heading back into bed rest before slowly easing back into normal activity.

“I’m going back to bed rest. I’ve got one more day of bed rest, and then it’s taking it easy for another week.”

Green then admitted that while the procedure was successful, recovery hasn’t been completely smooth physically.

“I’m feeling good. My wounds are healing, and my heart feels heavy, and my breathing is interesting, but we’re on the mend.”

This comes after Green previously revealed that doctors finally diagnosed and treated the SVT condition after she dealt with symptoms for nearly a decade. She also explained earlier this week that the procedure lasted three hours and required her to remain awake during the final portion of it.

“Yesterday, Dr. Girgis spent 3 hours working on me… and I had to be awake for the last hour of the procedure!!”

Despite everything she’s dealing with physically, Green already sounds eager to jump right back into WWE creative plans. During the interview, Dave LaGreca asked if she planned to return to work once recovery was finished, and Green immediately made it clear she’s already thinking ahead.

“Oh, you know I will. You know, I’m already—I already pitched for this week.”

That response won’t surprise many WWE fans, considering Green has continued appearing on television while battling multiple physical issues over the past year, including wrestling through a broken ankle before now undergoing heart surgery.

Even while recovering, she still sounds determined to stay involved creatively and get back on WWE programming as quickly as possible. For now, though, Green says the focus remains on healing up and getting through the final stages of recovery before returning to action.
