Chris Brazzell NFL Draft Profile

The 2026 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Chris Brazzell NFL Draft Profile.

Chris Brazzell Background

Tennessee

Size:
6-foot-4,  198 pounds

Brazzell was a three-star recruit in the class of 2022 who signed with Tulane out of Texas. He redshirted in his first season and didn’t play much. In 2023, he was a Freshman All-American with Tulane, catching 44 passes for 711 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He helped the team win 11 games. Brazzell transferred to Tennessee for the 2024 season. That year, he had 29 catches for 333 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He aided Tennessee in winning 10 games that year. In 2025, Brazzell caught 62 passes for 1,017 yards and nine touchdowns. He led Tennessee to eight wins in his final season.

Following the season, Brazzell declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a second to fourth round pick.

Chris Brazzell Strengths

Brazzell is a bigger receiver for the NFL level. He measured in at 6-foot-4 and 198 pounds. Brazzell will need to add some strength to his frame, but it looks like he has room for it. He has arms that measure over 32 inches, which also gives him an advantage. Brazzell has a good catch radius and can win jump balls over smaller corners.

Especially for his size Brazzell has great speed. He ran a 4.33-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and that speed shows up on tape. Brazzell can stack defensive backs and get vertical. He can create big plays for an offense and even when he doesn’t, he can stretch defenses vertically.

He is average at running after the catch. While he isn’t the most elusive, Brazzell shows good vision in the open field. He runs to open space and his speed can make it hard for defensive backs to keep up. Brazzell turns upfield as a runner and can make more out of plays than designed.

Chris Brazzell Weaknesses

Over his college career, Brazzell had issues with drops. He can lose focus and drop the easy ones at times. Brazzell can also do a better job on contested catches of using his size to his advantage. If he can be more sure-handed, his value will go up.

His route-running can use some work on the first level. He can struggle to get in and out of his breaks quickly to create separation. Most of the time his separation is because of his vertical speed rather than his route work. It will be hard for him to improve, but he can be more detailed in his routes.

There are times that Brazzell takes plays off. Whether it is running plays when he doesn’t show real effort as a blocker or passing plays when he doesn’t seem dedicated to the route, he takes his foot off the gas. He will need to play hard every play at the next level and not take plays off.

Projected Draft Range: Second Round Pick-Fourth Round Pick

Draft Grade: Fourth Round Pick
