Chris Jericho was serious on AEW Collision (June 20, 2026), and he took a serious beating that left him bloodied. Jericho’s mouth wrote a check that he could not cash on that night.
Jericho engaged in a face to face promo session with Tommaso Ciampa. The gist was that Jericho claimed any version of Jericho can beat Ciampa.
Ciampa was satisfied with that intensity. The Psycho Killer countered Jericho’s clams with a match challenge for Beach Break on July 8 from Clearwater, Florida. Ciampa wants Jericho to invite his family to watch him lose.
Jericho was game to wrestle at Beach Break. But for now, they fight! Fists were thrown. The funny part was that Jericho initiated the scuffle, then he was left in a bloody mess. Jericho actually had the upper hand, but that changed after Ciampa connected on a mule kick. Ciampa smashed Jericho into the steel steps to bust him open.
Ciampa closed the scene with a running knee to put Jericho down.
Jericho wasn’t out. Backstage, he thanked Ciampa for the beating. Jericho warned that Ciampa won’t thank him for what happens now.
There is plenty of time until Beach Break, so it sounds like this feud will be escalating in the meantime. With all the versions of Jericho, this has me wondering if the Painmaker will return. The Painmaker would be a man fit to fight a Psycho Killer.
Are you enjoying the feud so far between Chris Jericho and Tommaso Ciampa? How do you think it plays out? Which version of Jericho would you pick to wrestle Ciampa?
