WWE appears to have picked a big women’s tournament match to close out tonight’s SmackDown.
According to TRNBCKL Gold, Charlotte Flair vs. Liv Morgan in the Queen of the Ring semifinal is slated to close the June 19 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
That match already had plenty riding on it. IYO SKY punched her ticket to the Queen of the Ring finals earlier this week on RAW, so the winner of Charlotte vs. Liv will move on to face her.
Charlotte and Liv also bring enough star power to justify the main event spot. Charlotte is always dangerous in tournament situations, while Liv is walking in as Women’s World Champion and has a lot to prove before Night of Champions.
The June 19 SmackDown takes place at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, and airs at 8 PM ET on USA Network. Be sure to tune in live and follow along with Ringside News for full play-by-play coverage over in our SmackDown results section.
If this match does close the show, WWE is giving the women’s division a strong spotlight before Night of Champions. Charlotte vs. Liv has title-level names, tournament stakes, and a direct path to the Queen of the Ring final.
