The inaugural Comedians’ Cup Ambrose day, hosted by Make Me Good At Golf, brought together a cracking lineup including Peter Hellier, Jimeoin, Lehmo, Colin Lane, Kitty Flanagan and Dave Hughes for a morning at Yarra Bend Golf Club that was equal parts golf and stand-up set.
Played on the morning of the Masters final round, the Ambrose format kept things moving, but not necessarily improving. There were bad swings, worse scorecards and plenty of laughter echoing down the fairways.
A highlight was one of the tee boxes, where comedians were given free rein to sledge each other mid-shot. Unsurprisingly, composure was in short supply.
