Complete List of Players Leaving and Joining Casey Alexander’s Wildcats

Kansas State missed the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year, finishing 12-20 (3-15 in Big 12) during the 2025-26 men’s college basketball season.

The lackluster performance led to the firing of head coach Jerome Tang, who was dismissed after going 10-15 in the first 25 games. Matthew Driscoll served as interim head coach for the final seven games, finishing 2-5.

After a string of unsuccessful seasons, Kansas State aims to rebound in 2026-27 by hiring Casey Alexander as its 27th head coach. The former Belmont coach signed a five-year, $17-million deal with the Wildcats, who hope to return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since their 2023 Elite Eight run.

As he assembles his roster for the upcoming season, Alexander faces a significant transition.

He has brought in a relatively new squad, including 10 incoming transfers and two high school prospects, to join the lone returning player from last season’s roster. Alexander replaces nine former Wildcats stalwarts who entered the transfer portal and four others who graduated after last season.
