Cowboys, Bears linked to Maxx Crosby in new trade proposal

Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders are together again, but don’t kid yourself. Crosby could be on the trade block any minute. Even though he says he’s a Raider for life, we all know loyalty only goes so far in the NFL. Crosby wants to win a Super Bowl, and the Raiders want some fresh, first-round picks to help the future of their franchise. So, the idea of a Crosby trade is still very real.

But, there are only a handful of teams that are likely to make a move for Crosby. These are teams that have the money and also have the immediate need for an edge-rusher who will get the job done. These franchises also are hot right now, so they’re willing to give up something in their future, in the form of first-round draft picks, to help the present, because they could go to the Super Bowl now. Not next season. Not the season after that. They could be there now.

Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report believes the two teams that are most likely to trade for Crosby are the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears. In a feature for the publication, he sees Crosby still being very much on the trading block.

Cowboys and Bears could still make a run for Maxx Crosby

Knox proposes that the Raiders give up Crosby in exchange for a 2027 first-round pick and 2028 first-round pick. Frankly, that’s a high price to pay. The Raiders are unlikely to get two first-round selections at this point, but anything can happen.

“Any team interested in adding Crosby would, of course, have to be comfortable with his medical situation,” Knox notes in the piece. “It would probably also need to match Baltimore’s offer of two first-round picks.”

Looking at the Cowboys and Bears, Chicago seems the most likely to make a move for Crosby. Why? For one, they still have a strong need at edge-rusher, while the Cowboys are pretty set in that area or at least more set than the Bears. Also, owner Jerry Jones is on a mission to make the Cowboys fly in 2026. Could it be with Crosby? We’ll see.
