Publisher and developer Pearl Abyss has confirmed that it is “hard at work” on an upcoming Crimson Desert DLC, while sharing details about the additions and improvements planned for its wildly popular action-adventure game through updates slated to go live between June and September.
Although it didn’t reveal too much about Crimson Desert’s upcoming DLC, the developer notes that it will be “a meaningful addition to your journey,” while promising “more details in the future.”
Crimson Desert Developer Working on DLC, Combat Content, Cross-Save, and More
While we wait, several updates are slated to be deployed between June and September 2026, improving various aspects of the game while introducing a smaller serving of new content.
As far as the story side of things goes, the developer aims to “refine and improve the coherence of key scenes.”
The Re-Blockade feature will receive improved rewards alongside a new phase, which aims “to make the flow before and after a blockade more natural,” while offering new ways to defend strongholds from invasions.
New combat content is also coming to Crimson Desert in one of its next updates, while work is also underway on a cross-save feature that will allow us to share save files across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
In addition, improvements are also planned for Damiane and Oongka, as well as certain non-combat parts of the game, like trading and farming, as shared in the most recent dev update posted on Steam.
With several free updates and an official Crimson Desert DLC on the horizon, there’s a good chance that the popular action-adventure game will remain among Steam’s most played games for a while to come.
Crimson Desert is out now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
