Dallas dips into UFL pool with latest signing

The Dallas Cowboys made some huge improvements during the 2026 offseason. Dallas hired Christian Parker at defensive coordinator and completely overhauled their defensive personnel over the past few months. The Cowboys just brought in one project player who is coming fresh off playing spring football in the UFL.

The Cowboys have signed offensive lineman Chris Glaser to a contract, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Glaser played college football at Virginia before joining the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He most recently spent the 2026 season in the UFL playing for the Columbus Aviators.

Glaser joined the Chiefs as a UDFA in 2022 after a successful minicamp tryout. Unfortunately, he was waived during training camp. He then spent the beginning of the 2023 season with the Jets before briefly joining the Cowboys on their practice squad for about a week. Glaser went back to New York and spent some time in Chicago too before playing in the UFL.

The Cowboys are clearly willing to look anywhere to find talented players. They recent signed wide receiver Jaden Smith and worked out SMU receiver Romello Brinson, the cousin of Chad Johnson.

While this is a positive development for Glaser, he faces an uphill battle to actually make the roster. Dallas already has its starters in place on the offensive line, as well as depth at every position too.

Glaser’s is an ideal fit at the right guard position, which puts him behind starter Tyler Booker and backup T.J. Bass at the moment.

Dallas holds their mandatory minicamp over the next few days, ending on June 18th. If Glaser can perform well during those practices, he might even stick around for training camp later this summer.

It will be fascinating to see if Glaser can make the most of this opportunity.
