Danhausen Blames Donald Trump for Knicks’ Only Playoff Loss

Danhausen is still taking credit for the Knicks’ NBA Championship win, but he’s got an excuse for the one night the magic didn’t work.

While speaking to Stephen A. Smith, Danhausen talked about “uncursing” the Knicks during their championship run. He said the team went 13-0 after he got involved, but admitted there was one loss he wanted no blame for.

“We cursed. They lost two games. We uncursed 13 and 0. They lost one. We won’t talk about that. That wasn’t my fault.”

Stephen A. backed him up, saying it wasn’t Danhausen’s fault. That’s when Danhausen revealed who he thinks blocked the powers, blaming US President Donald Trump, who was present at the game and was heavily booed.

“That was Trump. That was Trump. That wasn’t me. That was Donald Trump.”

Stephen A. immediately pressed him on it, asking if the “almighty” Danhausen was scared of the president: “Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. You’re supposed to be the almighty, the all powerful Danhausen. Are you scared of the president? You scared to say what I said?” Danhausen didn’t back down, but he did admit even his powers have limits: “No. Danhausen’s powers can only go so far.”

Stephen A. wasn’t buying that entirely, saying Danhausen’s powers should stretch beyond the White House. Danhausen then clarified that he wasn’t scared of Trump, but sometimes even his uncursing magic can get blocked.

“Danhausen’s not afraid. But I’m just saying sometimes those powers get blocked. Every once in a while, one will come across and block it. That night it got blocked. But after that though, we’ll ignore that one. We’ll go past because they won.”

The whole thing only makes the Knicks-Danhausen madness even stranger. WFAN has already invited Danhausen to be their guest at Thursday’s championship parade in New York City, WWE has rolled out Knicks crossover merch, and TKO is helping put the whole deal together, with WWE cameras expected at the parade.

Bottom line, Danhausen says he uncursed the Knicks, helped deliver a championship, and only lost control one night because Donald Trump blocked his powers. At this point, if he shows up at the parade, New York might actually treat him like the king he says he is.
