Danhausen isn’t wasting any time trying to capitalize on the New York Knicks’ championship victory as he’s now trying to be a part of Severance season 3.
Danhausen took to Twitter after the Knicks captured the 2026 NBA Championship and made a public pitch to join Season 3 of the hit Apple TV+ series Severance. The timing wasn’t random either, as Ben Stiller is the director and Executive Producer of the show.
Stiller has also been one of the Knicks’ most visible celebrity supporters throughout their championship run and has even crossed paths with Danhausen. Rather than asking for a courtside seat or another Knicks-related reward, Danhausen decided to aim a little higher and directly tag Stiller with a request to join the cast: “Hello @BenStiller can Danhausen star in Severance Season 3? Danhausens outtie enjoys cruising around in his PT Cruiser”
This comes after Danhausen declared himself responsible for ending the Knicks’ 53-year championship drought. Following New York’s Game 5 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, Danhausen posted a video congratulating the team while claiming his “uncursing” powers helped pave the way for the title run. He even joked that New York now owes him a statue, mural, parade, and other honors for his role in the team’s success: “Yes. We did it. Danhausen’s the king of New York now.”
Whether Stiller responds remains to be seen, but Danhausen has already gone from self-proclaimed Knicks curse-breaker to aspiring Severance cast member in the span of a few weeks. Given how bizarre the entire Knicks story has become, Danhausen probably figured it’s worth asking.
Do you think Danhausen would fit into Severance Season 3, or should he stick to uncursing sports teams? Let us know your thoughts and feedback in the comments below.
