Danhausen is taking his NBA curse gimmick all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Just weeks after “cursing” and later “uncursing” the New York Knicks during their playoff run, the WWE star officially showed up at Madison Square Garden for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers.
The timing wasn’t exactly subtle either. Hours before the game, Danhausen publicly cursed the Cavaliers, continuing the bizarre basketball storyline that somehow keeps gaining momentum online.
Now, after spending weeks tied to the Knicks’ playoff run through social media and ESPN appearances, Danhausen appears to have fully embraced becoming part of the Knicks’ postseason atmosphere.
The Knicks have been on an absolute tear ever since their rough start to the playoffs. After falling behind the Atlanta Hawks 2-1 in the opening round, New York suddenly flipped the switch and ripped off seven straight victories.
Even crazier, six of those wins came by double digits. The Knicks then steamrolled the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round, setting up the Eastern Conference Finals showdown against Cleveland.
Danhausen’s involvement with the Knicks has quietly turned into one of the weirdest crossover stories between WWE and sports this year, especially after his popularity exploded following his WWE debut earlier in 2026.
At this point, Knicks fans may not want Danhausen going anywhere near the team if the winning streak keeps rolling.
