Danhausen might be the most dangerous man in sports right now.
The New York Knicks already ended their 53-year NBA Championship drought after Danhausen got tied into their playoff run by “uncursing” them. Now, he is taking credit for another championship, because the Carolina Hurricanes just won the Stanley Cup after Danhausen put a curse on the Vegas Golden Knights.
Earlier this month, Danhausen posted a video and he joked that his curse powers might be stretched thin because he had already been doing a lot of work in the sports world.
“Yes, hello. Danhausen here. Very nice, very evil, very famous. WWE legend, hall of famer, superstar champion. All right. Oh. Oh, no. All right. These for the Carolina Hurricanes from the Carolina Hurricanes, brought to you in part by Danhuasen. Need you to curse VGK.”
Danhausen then went ahead and cursed the Golden Knights, while warning that there were no guarantees because he had been using his powers a lot lately.
“Vegas. Go, Golden Knights. You are cursed. Danhausen cannot get any cursings. He’s done a lot of cursings lately, so who knows? He better work. His powers may be stretched. However, he can definitely lose some human money. So it is fine. Thank you very much. Enjoy your possible curse. See you later.”
Then Carolina went out and handled business. The Hurricanes beat the Golden Knights to win the Stanley Cup, and Danhausen wasted no time jumping in front of the parade. After the win, Danhausen responded to his earlier curse video and declared himself the ultimate sports mastermind.
“Danhausen is the greatest Sports Master of all time and now also Stanley Cup owner too let’s fill it with diet coke.”
That is a wild flex, even by Danhausen standards. One minute he was wrapped into the Knicks’ NBA title story, and the next he was acting like the Stanley Cup belongs in his living room filled with Diet Coke.
WWE and TKO were already moving fast with the Knicks connection, including merchandise, cameras expected at the parade, and possible YouTube content around Danhausen’s “uncursed” run. Now the Hurricanes just gave him another championship to claim, and he is not being quiet about it.
Danhausen may not have touched the ice, but he cursed Vegas, Carolina won, and now he is walking around like he owns two trophies in one weekend.
