Dark Side of the Ring is officially turning up the heat for Season 7 — and the first trailer makes it clear VICE is going big this time.
After confirming that the new season will premiere on July 7 at 9 p.m. ET on Vice TV with two back-to-back episodes, VICE has now dropped the first trailer for the upcoming season. The footage gives fans their first real look at what’s coming, and it starts with a strong line from Jeff Jarrett: “They say fame changes folks, but the reality is it doesn’t change folks, it reveals folks.”
From there, the trailer quickly shifts into the kind of intense wrestling drama Dark Side of the Ring is known for. Jim Cornette is shown warning about one of the stories being covered, making it clear things are getting dark fast: “You’re not supposed to hang people.”
The trailer also features several major names from across the wrestling world, including Eddie Kingston, Samoa Joe, Tony Khan, Scott Steiner and others. That alone makes Season 7 feel like one of the show’s biggest lineups yet.
The new season is already set to cover a three-part deep dive into TNA Wrestling and Jeff Jarrett, which has been positioned as one of the most ambitious stories the series has ever tackled. Season 7 will also feature episodes on Paul Orndorff, Ray “The Big Boss Man” Traylor, Missy Hyatt, Zach Gowen, The Renegade, and the infamous Necro Butcher vs. Samoa Joe match.
The first trailer makes it clear VICE is leaning hard into both the emotion and chaos that made Dark Side of the Ring a major wrestling docuseries in the first place. Between Jarrett’s TNA story, Cornette’s warning, and appearances from some major names, Season 7 looks like it will bring plenty of heavy moments when it premieres.
Dark Side of the Ring has never been afraid to tackle the uncomfortable parts of wrestling history, and this new trailer shows Season 7 will continue that tradition.
