A ‘pretty big’ priority to get a Cale Makar extension done

Jesse Montano: Colorado Avalanche ‘GM’ Joe Sakic when asked, how big of a priority is getting a Cale Makar extension done: “uhhhh pretty big… look, Cale is going to finish his career here”

Sakic added that he’s already spoken with Makar’s agent and that they are on the same page.

Reports that the Senators have some interest in Mason McTavish and Jordan Kyrou, but Kyrou may not be interested

Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Citizen: There have been some reports that the Senators are interested in Anahiem Ducks Mason McTavish and St. Louis Blues Jordan Kyrou. Kyrou has a no-movement clause, and it’s believed that he wouldn’t waive it to come to Ottawa.

NHL Rumors: Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Ottawa Senators

It’s believed that the Ducks may want a first-round pick and some immediate help if they were to move McTavish. McTavish’s dad is a pro scout for the Senators.

Seattle Kraken’s Jared McCann might be available. He’s entering the final year of his contract at $5 million.
