Derek Chisora has made a U-turn on his retirement vow and insists he’s coming back to rematch Deontay Wilder.
Chisora was beaten on a split decision by Wilder at the O2 Arena last month.
The 42-year-old, who was dropped twice in the bout, claimed beforehand he would be calling time on his 50-fight professional career regardless of the result.
However, the Londoner now claims he is looking to secure a rematch with ‘The Bronze Bomber’ after his wife gave him permission to continue.
“I’m working on the rematch,” he told Sky Sports News.
“The wife has given me the green light, so I will be doing the rematch.
“I haven’t confirmed it yet.
“I have a couple meetings tomorrow [on Wednesday] and we will see how that goes.

“He [Wilder] is keen because he’s upset with the result as well.
“Yes he might have won but he’s upset, so we are going to run it back.
“That’s it. [At the] end of this year I will retire.”

Wilder was hoping to secure a long-awaited battle with Anthony Joshua, who he called out after beating Chisora.
The 40-year-old former heavyweight world champion walked past ‘AJ’ after the fight and told him, “let’s do it.”
However, Joshua, who hasn’t fought since knocking out Jake Paul in December, opted to face Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Riyadh and will then face Tyson Fury in November, providing he’s victorious.
Wilder’s manager Shelly Finkel claimed that Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn made no contact with them.

“Can’t be disappointed about something that never was,” Finkel told Sky Sports.
“Eddie never reached out to us and Joshua obviously had no intention of fighting Deontay Wilder.
“Same old story, just a new date.”
Joshua’s bout with Prenga marks his first since beating Paul as well as since a fatal car crash which killed two of his close friends and left him with minor injuries.
Fury, who came out of retirement to beat Arslanbek Makhmudov last month, is now also expected to fight again before finally facing his British rival.
